"Are you waiting for me?"Mar looked to see Kwon. She scoffed with a roll of her eyes. She was sat down in the lobby of the hotel.
"I'm actually waiting for a package from my real father." Mar scoffed as Kwon sat down next to her. "Don't feel flattered."
"Ah, I see." Kwon hummed as he rest his arm around the couch behind her. "Good job out there today. Thank you for giving me the chance to beat your boyfriend on the mat."
"You know he's not my boyfriend anymore." Mar shot the boy a look, causing him to chuckle. "Why do you guys hate us so much?"
"I don't hate you." Kwon told the girl with a hum, leaning his head back. Mar rolled her eyes with a small smile.
"Why not?" Mar asked him with a tilted head, and her smile still on her face. Kwon looked to her.
"I don't know." He answered honestly as he stared at her. "You're just different from the rest of them."
"Or it's because we're friends." Mar hummed as she looked forward, her hands on her knees. "My only friend right now."
"You think we're friends?" Kwon asked softly with a distant look, causing the girl to look to him.
"Uh, do you not think we're not?" Mar's eyes widened slightly at that. "I just thought we were since, you know, we-"
"Yes, you are right." Kwon cut the girl off with the smallest of smiles. "You are.. my friend. The first real friend I've ever made."
"That's really nice." Mar grinned at him. She was about to speak up but then she saw a man walk in holding a package. "Give me a sec."
Kwon watched her closely as the girl stood up and walked towards the man. She signed his clipboard before walking back towards Kwon with the package.
"What is it?" Kwon asked curiously as she sat back down next to him, the package placed on her lap.
"Don't know." Mar shrugged at Kwon. "He told me to open it with Felix, but.. you know.. I'm not exactly on good terms with them."
"Remind me why you're not talking to them." Kwon said as he scratched the back of his neck. Mar inhaled deeply as she turned to him.
"I just.. pushed them all away?" Mar scrunched her face before she sighed. "I guess I'm not in a right headspace. That's why I made Robby break up with me, and I was a bitch to everyone else. It seems stupid, I know, but-"
"It's not stupid." Kwon cut the girl off with a hum. "I do the same. All the time. Sometimes, it's better to be alone than be a burden to people."
"Well what do you do when you get lonely?" Mar asked him as she tilted his head slightly. Kwon looked off to the side before looking back to the girl.
"I don't get lonely." Kwon shrugged at the girl, causing Mar to scoff with a roll of her eyes. Kwon raised a brow.
"Everyone gets lonely." Mar told the boy with a pointed look. "There must be times where you just want someone to talk to."
"Not exactly, no." Kwon told her honestly as he stared at her. "But when I go back to Korea, I fear I will feel lonely when I get like that."
"What do you mean?" Mar asked him curiously, her brows pulling together slightly. Kwon smiled sadly.
"Because I won't have you to hang around with." Kwon gave the girl a lopsided smile. Mar smiled at him.
"You don't have to feel lonely without me." Mar rolled her eyes as she took out a pen from her pocket that she had used to sign the package. "Just text me."
