"And I would be honored to continue my journey at UCLA." Mar said, looking to Orion and Martha who were stood behind her. "Slash all the other ten colleges that I'm going to apply to but don't care for because my mom went to UCLA and was a head cheerleader so I wanna go there to continue her legacy or-"

"Mariah, it's okay." Martha had laughed as she rest his hand on her's. "UCLA will dumb to not take you. You're brilliant."

"Brilliant, no." Mar shot her a look before sighing as she looked to her computer. "Would kill myself if I don't get in, yes."

"You'll get in, Mariah." Orion told the girl softly, resting his hand on her shoulder. Mar looked up to him with a thankful smile.

The front door bell had then rang, Felix widening his eyes as he sat up in his seat. He parted his lips as he looked to Martha.

"I'll get it." Martha said, looking to Orion before she walked off towards the front door. Felix cleared his throat.

"I know how stressful it is for you..." Felix had started talking, causing Mar to look to him. He wore a hesitant look on his face.

"It's the worst." Mar had murmured out as she held her head in her hands. "I hate this so much. I wish Robby was here with me."

"Great!" Felix had blurted out, causing Mar to furrow her brows as she looked to him. "It's.. perfect that.. you have the need for Robby to be here because..."

"Because?" Mar raised a brow at her brother suspiciously. Felix cleared his throat as he looked to Orion.

Mar looked to Orion, the man quickly holding his hands up in mock-surrender. "I had nothing to do with this, I advised him against it."

"Felix, what did you do?" Mar asked as she snapped towards her brother. His eyes widened, his lips parted. "Felix, what did you do?"

"Mar, there's a surprise visitor here for you." Martha's voice sounded. Mar turned, her lips parting in shock at the sight of Robby who was stood next to the woman awkwardly. "And just in time for breakfast."

Mar pursed her lips as she stared at the boy. He was looking to the floor. This was going to be a very interesting breakfast.

"So, Robby..." Martha had started talking, causing the boy to look to her. He was sat next to Felix, across from Mar who sat next to Martha. Orion sat at the head of the table. "What colleges are you thinking of applying to?"

"Uh, I'm..." Robby sat there awkwardly. He didn't know what to say. He knew the woman and Orion would both judge him. "I'm not.. going to college."

"Like me." Felix quickly said, trying his best to get his mom and Mar's dad to love the boy. "You both already know about... the accident.."

"Yes, I've heard." Martha said as she looked down to her pancakes. Robby looked to his food in embarrassment as well.

Mar had looked up from her food to look sadly at Robby. She could tell he was feeling shitty and she wished she could make him feel better.

"I-" Robby cleared his throat as he looked to Orion who was looking at him with a frown. "Can I go use the washroom?"

"I'll show you where it is." Mar said as she stood up quickly. Robby looked surprised but nodded, the two walking off.

"I don't like him." Martha sighed with a shake of her head as soon as the two were out of earshot. Felix frowned about to tell her something before Orion had spoke up.
