02-19. Champions Division

"And now, the moment you've all been waiting for!" Gunther yelled as Robby and Mar exchanged a look, bowing before entering the mat. "The SeiKai TaiKai tournament of Champions!"

"We got this." Mar immediately said as she grabbed ahold of Robby's gi's sleeves, shaking him slightly. "I know we do."

"Hell yeah we do." Robby grinned at her as they began bouncing on the spot, warming up their bodies a bit before standing next to each other in front of their team.

"Welcome, competitors to the semifinal round of the SeiKai TaiKai." Gunther spoke. "Each dojo will retain the points they have accumulated thus far. Each match will consist of three two-minute rounds with unlimited scoring and no stoppages. One point for a hit. Ten for a knockdown. And should anyone score a knockout, that's worth twnety."

"Only knockouts other there today?" Mar raised a brow with a smirk as she looked to her boyfriend stood next to her.

"Only knockouts." Robby chuckled with a firm nod, causing Mar to laugh slightly before looking back to Gunther.

"So, it's still anyone's tournament to win." Gunther continued on. "Because at this stage of the tournament, no deficit is too large to overcome. Best of luck to you all, and may the best dojo win."

Mar inhaled deeply as she stared forward, her heart beating out of her chest. She felt someone nudge her shoulder. She looked to see Demetri.

"Nervous?" Demetri asked the girl causing her to inhale and exhale deeply through her mouth this time.

"Very very very nervous." Mar murmured out as she looked around at all the Captains getting ready to fight.

"You got this." Demetri told his best friend firmly. "You're seriously one of the most badass fighters out there. Just keep your head in the game, and make us all proud. I know you will."

"Gotta keep your head in the game." Mar began singing the song from High School Musical, causing him to jokingly groan with a small smile on his face.

Mar giggled at him as they bumped shoulders before turning back to the front. Her smile slowly faded as she got her game face on.

Demetri was right. She needed to get her head into the game.

The first match immediately began. It was Kwon versus a boy that the Miyagi-Do's called Spanish Hawk (because of his same eccentric hair do).

Mar was watching the match between the two closely. She had to admit she enjoyed watching Kwon fight. He fought ruthlessly, like no matter what he did.. he knew there were no consequences for him.

He fought as if he had been fighting his entire life. Mar knew she had to fight like Kwon if she wanted to have a chance at beating Tory who was most likely fighting without any mercy as well.

"Hey." A voice spoke up. Mar glanced to her side to see Sam, she gave the girl a small smile before looking back to the fight. "You look really interested in this fight."

"I like watching Kwon fight." Mar admitted to the girl, her eyes following Kwon. Robby was stood next to her but she didn't have to worry about him hearing her as he was busying talking with Felix. "He makes fighting mercilessly look.. satisfying."

"Are you sure that's the entire reason why your eyes are basically glued to Kwon right now?" Sam asked, causing Mar to roll her eyes while smiling.

"Okay, who told you?" Mar laughed slightly as she folded her arms across her chest, still not taking her eyes off of the fight.
