I opened my red and puffy eyes to the sound of a familiar voice.

"Let me in, I need to see her! Do you know who I am?!"

  Delia.

I scrambled to get off my bed, the white sheets falling down as I shook them off me.

Pulling the handle and opening my bedroom door, I see her being held back by two guards.

  "Let her go."

  "But, Lady Althea-"

  "Let her go!"

Their hands fell to their sides, after a short hesitance and a glare from me.

"Althea!" She ran up to me and hugged me.

I hugged her back, and for the first time in this cruel week, I felt a sliver of hope.

My tears started to fall again, and hers soaked my shoulder.

"I didn't do it, I'm innocent, nobody believes me!" I managed through sobs.

"I know, I know. Calm down, and let's discuss this."

I closed the doors of my room, making sure nobody was eavesdropping.

My sobs eventually reduced to simple tears.

"They think I killed him, Delia. They think I was the one to take him out of this world. I would never!" I said as I sat on the couch opposite her.

"I know. They don't know you like I do, but we need to find a solution."

"I'm being accused of a crime I didn't commit. You don't think they would... kill me, right?" The word 'kill' brought a shiver down my spine.

  She smiled a comforting smile.

"They wouldn't kill a person with divinity inside them."

Speaking of this 'divinity', I've yet to use my powers ever since I got here, right?

  "You think so?"

  "I know."

The sliver of hope extended with her words.

"Then let's devise a plan. If I don't prove my innocence in court, who knows what'll happen!"

Delia nodded, and we got to work.

"Your dad, he asked you to come to his office. The butler is a witness, whether he likes it or not, right?" I nodded, confirming her statement.

"How would you have killed him on a whim? Where would you have obtained a weapon from? Let alone a sword, and even if you did, by the time your screams echoed throughout the house, you would have no time to hide it or dispose of it!"
