The streets were bustling with cheers and joy. Atlas was just a few feet ahead of me, checking out all the shops. I turned to Harriet, curious about the situation.
"What's the occasion?" I asked, referring to the decorations all around the streets.
"The crown prince's birthday is a national holiday, my lady." Harriet calmly informed me.
"But that's not in another week." Is it that big a deal?
Harriet smiled at my cluelessness. "The week before is a festival, the last day of the festival is the crown prince's birthday. It's all for the crown prince's birthday." She continued.
"Is that so? Hm." I didn't say anything else, simply looked around. It was... Nice. Nobody in sight was on their phones, considering they didn't exist, and everybody seemed to know everybody. That was not the case in Seoul, in my previous life.
I looked to my left, to see a large mountain with a white building on top of it. That must be the temple.
"Althea! Is that you?" a voice called from behind me. The woman called me "Althea" not "Lady Althea, " which can only mean...
"Delia," I said, looking behind my shoulder, to see a petite woman with beautiful baby pink hair running up to me, a maid behind her.
"You don't go outside by yourself often, what's the occasion?" she asked me, her arms intertwined behind her back. Her cheerful demeanor was like a cold glass of water, so refreshing to witness.
I giggled, before responding.
"I decided to shop for the banquet," I explained.
"Is that so?" she put her finger on her chin, pretending to ponder something. I giggled at her playful state. "Well, you know what that calls for! A shopping spree for you and me!" She exclaimed.
I nodded gleefully, interlocking my arm with hers. "Let's go then, hm? Time waits for no one."
Shortly after, we stumbled across a fountain, and I noticed people throwing coins in it. A wishing fountain! How nice. Suddenly, I felt a tug on my arm.
"Sis, I'm gonna go make a wish!" Atlas informed me, before letting go of my arm and running towards the fountain. Upon acknowledging my signal, I nodded at Harriet, who followed after Atlas.
"Oh, it's the tailor every noble lady buys from! I heard it's quite difficult to get a meeting with her... Well, I'm sure they can spare a little time for the blessing of the Empire!" Delia, who pointed at the shop, exclaimed happily. She couldn't have said it more loudly, and I watched, helpless, as heads turned towards us.
"Oops..." This girl... she didn't sound sorry at all!
I sighed, as I pulled my cloak's hood lower, almost blinding my vision.
