"Lady Althea!" I turned my head, as I sipped onto my glass of wine, to the source of the voice. Althea's maid was running up to her, who had just returned wrapped in bandages. I was actually a bit thankful, because it finally shut that blonde asshole up who was whining about losing sight of Althea. What was his name again? Right, Isaac.

I watched as she bathed in her glory. I wonder if she's gonna mention me bandaging up her wounds. I seriously doubt she will, though. After all, she's usually keen on acting like a spoiled princess.

"Lady Althea, what has happened to you?" Her maid asked, and I took another sip to hide the smirk that was creeping on my face. She must have realised, because I saw her eyes, which were searching for someone, falling on me, and her brows furrowed.

"Nothing. Just a few scratches." She smiled, directing her gaze back to her maid. She knew that nobody believed it but also that nobody would dare question any further. Her friend had already ran up to her, helping her off her horse. The only man I didn't see run up to her was Isaac. He seemed struck and stuck in place the whole time they were speaking, yet her eyes never found his.

Starting to walk away now, I was stopped when a gloved hand grabbed my forearm. I looked over my shoulder, seeing blue eyes staring right into mine, and a embarassed glare mixed with stubborness.

"Aias. Listen, thank..." she hesitated, like she couldn't bring herself to say it. "Thank you, but... don't use this as an opportunity to black mail me or... or make me owe you. I know you, Aias, and you never pass an opportunity if it gets you what you want." Now I get it. It wasn't anger. It was fear.

"I don't know, I do have a few favors I needed taken care of and until some hours ago, I had nobody owing me anything."

"Bullshit." She said almost a bit too loudly, looking around to check if anyone heard before looking back at me and lowering her voice. "You're a crown prince. I'm sure everybody owes you atleast something." At least she's logical.

"I'm not negotiating with you, Althea. But, just this once, I won't use it against you." I'm not a monster.

She nodded, finally letting go of my forearm, a small pause before nodding again, this time more to herself, turning around and walking away.
