"Althea, it was so nice to meet you! I hope my brother doesn't bother you until you leave too." Callie all but whispered the last part, earning her a glare from Aias, who leaned against the tree next to me.

Calliope, Aias' sister, who I've come to adore over the past few hours, is leaving for the imperial palace just like Aias instructed last night.

I should also be packing my things sooner or later, but first of all, I needed to... talk, to Aias.

"Have a safe trip, Callie." I smiled a genuine smile, waving as she climbed into her carriage.

"You sound as if she's going to Knostasia." Aias spoke from beside me, bringing a frown back to my face as I turned to look at him.

He looked at me... differently than he usually did, but I tried to pay it no mind as I shifted the conversation, finding the opportunity and using it.

"Speaking of Knostasia, I have something to tell you concerning the neighboring empire, and, well, our... situation."

His expression shifted from unbothered to curious, as he beckoned for me to follow him.

The moment we stepped into his cabin, my eyes landed on the bed I fell asleep in after... whatever I did last night, bringing back the memories of Aias' shredded skin and my hands hovering over it, watching the skin reattach itself together, my vision blurring, my head feeling light and the room spinning before I felt my body plummet towards his and my eyes shutting, as I gave in to the darkness and the feeling of nausea.

I don't know what I did last night. Obviously, I used my powers, but... it felt weird. It made me weak, and I didn't like it. I hated the feeling so much, that I don't want to experience it ever again.

I walked over to the bed, where I put my suitcase this morning, opening it up and taking out the documents with the information I discovered last week.

I was planning on giving him this once he returned, but with the way things turned out... I decided to take it with me last minute.

"You need to check this out." I held out the papers.

He walked to his desk, taking the documents from my offering hand on his way.

I followed him behind his desk, and he sat in the chair as I sat ontop of the desk next to the documents.

He read the text carefully, his expression having shifted from curious to surprised by the time he finished.

"Huh..." He muttered as he stared at the last page, intrigued.

"I know. It's hard to believe, but do you think it can be connected with... him?"

"I'm not surprised. Where did you get this?" His curious eyes finally met mine.
