"Your highness, will you be participating in the hunting competition tomorrow?" Oliver asked me after setting some papers on my desk.

"Hm? Oh. Probably. I don't have anything better to do anyway."

"Your highness, you have a day's worth of work..."

"Well I'm sure you can take some weight off of my shoulders." I said as I looked at him with a pressing smile, that served more as a threat than an actual smile.

"We're not doing this again." He facepalmed himself.

  "What, can't I enjoy a break?"

"You just had one yesterday, your highness! You can't keep running from your work as if that'll reduce it."

"Whatever, I practically have to go to the hunting competition though."

"You mentioned leaving for a business trip the day after the hunting competition. How are you gonna catch up on this after you return?"

  "Are you underestimating me?"

"Your highness it's physically impossible to finish this much work fast."

"Your voice annoys me. Leave or I'll fire you."

"No you won't." He said with a knowing look.

  "No I won't." I grumbled angrily.

"I'll... I'll think of something, okay? But I have to attend the competition. It's practically a national event." I finally said with a defeated sigh.

This time it was his turn to sigh. "Fine, but after that and your business trip, you'll have to bury yourself in your work."

And with that, he returned to his own work while I returned to mine.

It was pitch dark outside when I finally decided to finish for the day, and Oliver had long left to also 'go get some rest' which is probably code for 'going out to get some drinks'

I rubbed my forehead in a attempt to get rid of this migraine, but it somehow only made it worse, making me groan in frustration as I stood from my chair.

I walked down the long hallway to get to my room when I noticed that it was unusually quiet. Was it so late that staff had already gone to sleep? I opened the door to my bedroom to see the cause of the hallway being so quiet.
