As P'Wave drove us to the Destiny Clinic event, I sat quietly in the backseat, flipping through the pages of the film project proposal from PD Kwon. It was an exciting offer but I had to carefully consider whether it aligned with my schedule for me to go to cast selection. The story seemed interesting enough, something I could see myself getting involved in but I still needed to make sure it wouldn't clash with my other commitments.
From the front, P'Wave's voice broke the silence. "You better get ready for today's interview, nong Yin. You know they will definitely ask about that photo of you and Third kissing."
I looked up briefly from the document, catching his eyes in the rearview mirror. "Don't worry," I said calmly. "I have got it handled."
P'Wave grinned. "I'm just saying, you know how they are. The fans will be all over it too. Better brace yourself."
After a moment, I set the film project aside and leaned back, glancing out the window before a thought crossed my mind. "Hey, P'Wave," I began, "are you free next weekend?"
He looked at me curiously through the rearview mirror, one eyebrow raised. "I think so. Why? Got something planned?"
I smiled. "Yeah. I want to introduce you to someone...my lover."
P'Wave's eyes widened for a split second before a big smile spread across his face. "For real? About time! I have been dying to meet the person who managed to steal your heart, nong!"
I chuckled softly. "You will see. Just make sure you are free."
"You bet! I wouldn't miss it for the world." He gave me a thumbs-up, still grinning like a kid on Christmas morning.
"So, how does your lover feel about all this gossip? You know, the kissing photo and everything?"
I let out a small sigh. I had anticipated this question and it wasn't like P'Wave to miss out on the juicy details. "He's been handling it well, actually," I said. "We have talked about it and he trusts me completely. He knows how things are in the industry and yeah, we communicate."
P'Wave raised an eyebrow, clearly impressed. "That's solid, nong. It's not easy for most people to deal with that kind of attention, especially when the fans get carried away."
I nodded, thinking about how lucky I was. War was strong and even though the constant attention from the media and the gossip could be overwhelming at times, he will communicate with me.
"Yeah, he's not the type to let rumors get to him. We are sticking together. I think he's more concerned about the media turning it into something bigger than it is but we will get through it."
P'Wave whistled, shaking his head. "Nong, sounds like you have got a solid one. Can't wait to meet him. I'm telling you, when you find someone who stands by you through all the media drama, that's a keeper."
I chuckled, looking out the window as we neared the event location. "Yeah, I know. I'm lucky. He's special like that."

The makeup artist applied the finishing touches to my face. As I sat there, I glanced at the mirror in front of me. Third was sitting beside me, scrolling through his phone without a care in the world. He hadn't replied to my messages, hadn't said a word to me and was acting like the whole situation with the photo wasn't a big deal.
I clenched my jaw slightly. The more I thought about it, the more irritated I became. He was treating this as if it didn't matter, as if the mess wasn't affecting anything.
