It had been 2 weeks since classes had started, but Paige has been here for almost a month training for the upcoming season. She walked from her dorm to the gym hoping to get an early workout in before the rest of the team got there to clear her mind. She'd recently been reminiscing on the past and looking back at memories as it was the first summer she had been in Minnesota for longer than a week. Whilst she was on the treadmill she decided she wanted to watch the slam video made for her that was filmed during highschool. Around 20 minutes in paige stumbled on a familiar face, the girls voice ringing through her ears trying to escape out of her headphones. Paige's face began burning up until she felt tap on her shoulder. Paige jolted back to reality turning around revealing a smiling Nika.
"Why do you look so flushed Paige, are you okay?" Nika asked as her smile slowly faded whilst a worrying look started growing
"Oh no I'm fine honestly, just a little hot, I think I need to take a break from the treadmill" the lie escaped her mouth.
Brianna. Brianna Bell. Her face implanted itself into Paige's mind, the first time she had thought about her in years. A wave of guilt passed through Paige as she continued walking with Nika to meet with the team. But why? Why now? Paige hadn't thought about that girl in years.
