Yugioh 5D's: Over the Nexus

Surprise, Surprise

The scene opens on the entire stadium as the Fortune Cup moves on to the next round.

Announcer: "Ladies and gentlemen! I know we're all still reeling from that incredible second match, but it's almost time for our third! It's Yusei versus Shira!"

In the pit room, Yusei was doing some last minute adjustments on his Duel Runner. Tanner was with him to share some info.

Yusei: "What do you know about this Shira?"

Tanner: "A couple o' fellas I know had some run-ins with the guy a few years back, in the underground duels. According to them, he wasn't exactly a fan a' playin' nice. Back then, he was callin' himself The Shadow Reaper. Apparently, he never takes off those creepy robes a' his. You planning on using Stardust Dragon?"

Yusei: 'I'm saving Stardust for my duel against Jack. And when I face him, he's gonna wish he never gave it back to me!'

Outside the stadium, Hunter Pace was on his Runner, gazing at the arena with a smirk.

Hunter: "Jack Atlas... I can't believe you didn't invite me to your little party. Then again, it's gonna be fun crashing it." Hunter suddenly drove past several people, causing a commotion. "Comin' through!" Hunter was heading straight for the entrance.

Guard: "We got trouble! Halt!" The guards line up to block Hunter. "Stop right there!"

Hunter: "Not." Hunter kept going regardless.

Guard: "Pull over immediate--!" Hunter flies right over them.

Hunter: [Laughing] Hunter makes it in and drives down the halls as the guards rush to detain him.

Guard: "After him!" The guards chase Hunter down the halls. "This way!"

Guard?: "We've got this corridor blocked off; get over to the east side." A strange sounding guard tells them.

Guard: "You heard the man!" The men run off to hunt Pace down, unaware the Guard in front of them was actually Hunter in disguise.

Hunter: [Snickers]

(A/N: I think it's impressive how he managed to stash his Duel Runner and disguise himself in such a short amount of time)

Hunter: "Uh..." Hunters sees Lazar and Shira coming and hides away in a dimly lit corner.

Lazar: "We need you to get Yusei as worked up as possible so his mark appears. But don't expect this to be easy. That Sattelite knows what he's doing. In a off-the-record duel, he defeated Jack Atlas."

Hunter: "Someone defeated Jack in a duel?" Hunter muttered softly, surprised to hear this.

Shira, faintly hearing this, tosses a card which practically flys into the corner, causing a small rodent to come running out.

Rat: [Squeaking]

Shira: "You've got rats." Lazar, aghast, composes himself.

Lazar: "As I was saying, this boy's skills should not be taken lightly..." In the corner, the card landed in Hunter's helmet.

Hunter: "So Yusei defeated Jack..." He chuckles to himself.

In the stadium, the Crowd cheered loudly anticipating the next duel that's about to take place.

Leo: "Let's go get some cotton candy or something!"

Dexter: "The duel's about to start."

Yanagi: "I can't wait to see Yusei turbo duel!"

Tanner: "Hmm. I wonder what Goodwin wants with Yusei. First he lets him out of the facility, then he invites him to this tournament. It just seems fishy.'
