A Match to Remember

As Yusei walked down the corridors, his mind drifted to the last match against Akiza and Naoto's incident.

Yusei: 'Naoto, you risked a lot to try and tear down Akiza's walls. All I can hope is you didn't get crushed by it.' Yusei heads into the infirmary and finds Naoto up and fine in bed with a phone in hand.

Naoto: "Hey, Yusei." Naoto greeted nonchalantly.

Yusei: "You feelin' alright?"

Naoto: "Yeah. I just passed out. Nothing major. Anyway, Yusei, check this out." Naoto showed Yusei a photo of an older gentleman.

Yusei: "Senator Hideo? What about him?"

Naoto: "I did some checking, and it turns out the Senators last name is Izinski."

Yusei: "You mean..."

Naoto: "Yup. That's her dad. I also found out that there was an incident back when she was little. Her powers went out of control back then and her parents sent her to Duel Academy. I get they were scared, but you gotta be really cruel to just send your own kid away from home."

Yusei: "I think I'm starting to get where Akiza's coming from. How'd you find this out anyway?" Just then, Lazar enters the room.

Lazar: "Ah, the warriors back. I trust the information we've provided was what you were looking for."

Naoto: "It was. Something you need?"

Lazar: "Just verifying if you still intend to duel in the Finals against Yusei here. The director is looking forward to it." Yusei seemed concerned by what Lazar meant by that.

Yusei: "Listen, I don't think-"

Naoto: "Don't worry. I can still duel." Naoto spoke up.

Lazar: "Excellent. Director Goodwin will be pleased with your cooperation." With a chuckle, Lazar takes his leave.

Yusei: "Naoto, what's up? Don't tell me you and Goodwin are working together."

Naoto: "Not something I would want. But I'n hoping that in our duel, maybe I can learn something."

Yusei: "You're talking about those visions you have? Like when me and Jack dueled?"

Naoto: "Mhm. If our dragons duke it out, there's a chance this next vision might give us some answers."

Yusei: "I don't know about this." Yusei had his doubts on whether this was a good idea.

Naoto: "Don't worry, Yusei. If we play this right, we'll figure out what Goodwin's keeping secret and find out what the Signers are all about."

Yusei: "I hope you're right." 'And I hope this won't end badly.' As they spoke, Sayer was listening in, interested in Naoto's visions of the future.

Later on, Yusei was seen tuning up his duel runner in preparation to duel Naoto as the MC was getting the crowd hyped.

MC: "It's finally time for the finals. Every duel has led up to this moment. The duelist who wins here has the honor of dueling against the King of the track himself, Jack Atlas. Will it be Yusei, the Satellite's shooting star or Naoto, the next big duelist to be? Stay tuned for this incredible spectacle."

Naoto was walling down the halls, to get his runner. As he was walking, Sayer appeared from the corner.

Sayer: "Naoto. It's a pleasure to meet you officially."

Naoto: "You're that guy who was with Akiza earlier. What do you want?"

Sayer: "I've heard of your abilities. They sound very interesting. What would you say if I had ways to help you better control them?" Sayer offered a hand to Naoto. The young man looks at his hand and walks past him dismissively.
