Y/n's pov:

I walk into the nurses office feeling a bit hesitant about my decision of coming here. I stepped forward cautiously, my eyes were scanning the room. There was a curtain drawn to the side and I could see someone behind it too.

I reached out and moved the curtain. My gaze met Ryuen's, he leaned casuallly against the wall. His signature smirk shifted quickly to one of confusion.

"Suzane, I mean...Y/n?" He looked at me and was clearly thrown off by my sudden appearance. Im guessing it was supposed to be Horikita here and not me...the moment lingered for a beat too long and I could feel the tension in the air getting heavy.

Kushida stood by all innocent looking and her usual sweet demeanor on full display. Another girl was laying in the nurses bed in escrusiating pain. Her foot was swollen and badly bruised from the previous events at the sports festival.

Ryuen breaks the silence in an annoyed voice, "Horikita did this on purpose," he began. "She clearly hurt this girl intentionally." He paused giving me a sly look, his tone was dark. "She even stood over her and said, 'As if I would ever let you take first place.'"

I raised a brow at him, that was such an absurd statement to make about Horikita and whoever this random girl is. "Really Ryuen? Is that what you are trying to go with here?"

I tilted my head in amusement, giving Ryuen a sly smile of my own. "I will have to admit this is quite an intricate plan you have come up with. Props to you I must say."

Ryuen chuckled as he was clearly pleased by my recognition. "Maybe I will report it to the school," he said in a cocky tone, but his eyes gleamed of something more in store.

Before I could respond to his statement, Kushida decided to jump in. "There is no way Horiikita would have done this on purpose!" she exclaimed, her voice sounded concern. But if anything it felt like she was a little kid interrupting two grown adults trying to have a talk.

I glanced at her, my suspicion started to grow even more. Wasn't this all part of Kushida's and Ryuen's plan? Or had they changed their tactics because they knew I might make an appearance? Something felt off.

Ryuen's voice interrupted my thoughts. "Of course things could go differently," he said, he leaned closer to me. "Depending on how sorry Horikita is. Or..." He trailed off, his eyes locking in on mine. "You could just change the outcome yourself Y/n."

Third person pov:

Ryuen's offer was hanging in the air, his intentions becoming more clear. He wasn't just after Horikita and breaking her down, but also testing Y/n. Seeing if she would leave an opening.

"You want 1 million points from Class D," Y/n said, her tone was sharp. "And then all these problems will disappear right?"

"Exactly..think of it like insurance." Ryuen's grin widened as he continued to speak, "You keep the peace in your class, and I will walk away. It is that simple really."

Kushida stood off to the side, watching the exchange with her usual innocent looking mask. Y/n was not fooled, she could see right through it. Wasn't Kushida's idea to go against Horikita though? The though of them working together was not anything new that I have seen before. After all she is the traitor who leaked our class roster for the sports festival.

The way they managed to shift their plan so seamlessly made me wonder just how deep their manipulation tactics went.

"Let me think about it," Y/n said breaking the silence in the air.

"Oh, Well" Ryuen shrugged dramatically in a joking manner. He turned towards the door. "Guess I will have to report it to the school."

Y/n's eyes narrowed. "Wait!" she exclaimed. Making him stop in his tracks. "You want Horikita to come here and grovel to you, dont you?"

Ryuen's smirk came back to him except it was more predatory. "That would be one way to settle this I suppose." His gaze met hers. "I was not expecting you to show up too though, but I wouldn't mind watching you grovel too"
