One Week Later – Back in Seoul

The calm of the cottage didn’t last forever.

News spreads quickly in elite circles — especially when one well-known name suddenly disappears, file
for a divorce, and is spotted near the coast in a company of the husband of a well known doctor.

It wasn’t the media that reached them first.

It was family.

Jeon Mansion – Jungkook’s meeting with his mother...

Jungkook stood alone in the vast, cold drawing room of the Jeon family home. His father wasn’t there — not yet. Instead, it was his mother, Mama Jeon, the family’s unofficial spokesperson, waiting in a tailored navy suit and disapproval sharp as glass.

“You didn’t think this would stay quiet, did you?” she said, crossing her arms.

“I didn’t care if it did,” Jungkook replied flatly.

“Jeon Jungkook,” she hissed, stepping closer. “Your father may have backed off, but you are still carrying this family’s name. What do you think investors are whispering when they hear you ran off with a man in the middle of a divorce scandal?”

Jungkook’s jaw clenched. “I’m the one getting divorced. Not caught cheating. Not sneaking around. I’m not hiding anything anymore.”

“Not yet,” she shot back. “But if that story goes public before it’s finalized, you’ll cost us more than just reputation.”

Jungkook narrowed his eyes. “I already gave this family years of pretending. You want me to lie again to make you feel better?”

His mother scoffed. “No. But I want you to think. Be strategic. Be quiet. Let this settle before you go playing house with that Park boy in public.”

Jungkook didn’t flinch. “His name is Jimin and I’m not playing anything.”

"JEON JUNGKOOK !" His mother shouted.

"Nope goodbye mother." With that Jungkook exited the house.

Taemin’s House – After Jimin’s Return

Jimin walked through the front door, greeted by the familiar quiet of Taemin’s house. He hadn’t told anyone yet — not even his mom — that he and Jungkook had spent the week away together.

Taehyung looked up from the couch, where he’d been sketching. He raised an eyebrow. “Well, look who the waves dragged back.” Jimin texted Taehyung telling him he was coming back today so his best friend decided to go wait for him at his home.

Jimin smiled faintly and dropped his bag. “I needed air.”

“You mean you needed him,” Taehyung said bluntly.

Jimin sat beside him. “You knew?”

“You didn’t have to say it. You were glowing like someone who finally slept through the night baby.”

Jimin looked down. “Baby bear, I need to tell you something.”

Just then, his mother walked in from the kitchen, wiping her hands on a dish towel. “You’re home early,” she said with a soft smile. “Taemin said you might be gone the full week.”

At the mention of Taemin, Jimin’s face fell slightly.

Taehyung noticed. “ Minnie tell her.”

"Tell me what?" Asked Jimin’s mom.

"Nothing mom, you know Tae" Jimin hid his nervousness with a chuckle.."He's just being a baby bear that he is."

Taehyung gave Jimin a dead glare.. "do you want me to spill the beans.. cause oh baby I will."
