A few weeks go by since Login's rescue. My brothers never found out about my partnership with the Avengers, and the Avengers, Steve, hasn't talked to me since then. I was definitely saddened by it. I mean, they are probably busy... right?
I lay in bed staring at my messages from Steve. I sighed. I did tell him I'd think about it, but that doesn't mean I meant not help in the meantime. I ran my fingers through my hair when I realized how stupid that sounded. I sigh and press the keyboard on my phone to text Steve. I bite my nail, considering texting him. I close my eyes and sigh again. If I think into it too much, my anxiety will only grow.
I open my eyes, and my fingers fly to the letters. I hit send and jump out of bed. I see my reflection in the mirror. Maybe Steve's right. I can't get rid of this. Maybe I should use it for good.
I brush my hair out and leave my room. A scent of something yummy fills my lungs. The trail of the scent leads me to the kitchen. Aaron, Ryan, and Login were cooking. Login looks up from cutting something. "Nice for you to finally join us." He smiles. I walk up closer to him. "Good morning, Login." He was cutting up some fruit. I snatch a piece. He was finally gaining weight again. He looked so much better lately. I see Nolan sweeping the floor. He hung his head low. "Why are you cleaning so early?" He looks up at me. He went to speak, but Aaron interrupted. "He is cleaning up his mess. He dropped a glass cup." I swallow my laugh down.
I walked over to see what Ryan and Aaron were doing. Ryan looked to be making some delicious fried rice; Aaron was frying some eggs. Aaron opened the oven to reveal some pork belly that was cooking. "That looks amazing." I compliment. "Thank you, thank you." Aaron answers. "Y/n, do you mind getting the seaweed packets from the cabinets?" Ryan says. "Yeah, of course." I pull one out for each of us. I placed them on the table.
My phone buzzed from a message. Nolan looked up. "What's that?" I turn my phone on silent without even looking at what it was. "Just a random notification." Nolan nodded as he finished cleaning his mess. Brandon walks in with his hair a mess. He looked tired and absolutely adorable.
"Bad sleep?" I question. "I don't want to talk about it." He walks past me to get the cereal. "Brandon." Aaron calls. Brandon looks at him. "We are already making breakfast. Why would you eat cereal!" Brandon, with an upset look, slams the cereal box on the counter. He huffs and sits at the table. Login came up to me and fed me a strawberry. "I didn't feel like cutting it up." He explains.
Eventually, we all sit down to eat. Alex and Jace join us, too. Everything was finally normal again. We finish eating and go our separate ways. I go to my room. I press on the message and read it

[Hi, Steve. I've been thinking
about your offer from a few
weeks ago. I still haven't
decided. I was hoping to ask
for a different approach. I
want to help with the little
missions. I would like to see
what it's like to be an Avenger
before I become one. Please
let me know what you think.][It's nice to hear from you
again, Y/n. I can understand
the hesitation you have. I
know it's asking for a lot.
I thought over your offer,
and we accept. I think it's
a good idea to see what you
may or may not be walking
into.][We will contact you when we
will need your assistance.]

I found myself smiling. There is something special about this team that makes me want to be a part of it. I take a breath to chill my excitement. I quickly texted back. [Thanks for agreeing. I will see you soon.] He sends back a thumbs up. Lol, I got a thumbs up from Captain America. He is such an old man. I laughed a little.
