AMELIAS POV
I woke up in Arizona's arms this morning. It was nice honestly. Too nice. I enjoyed it. God I'm making a mess of my life here. I broke up with James two months ago and now I'm slightly crushing over my roommate. I got dressed and ran into work and started my rounds. I couldn't think about Arizona. I didn't even know what to think about her. I mean she was objectively attractive. She was. But it was something else. Something else drew me in and I don't know. I don't know and I don't need to know.
I scrubbed into a craniotomy with Derek and looked at the gallery. Arizona. Damn it. An audience. I was nervous around her.
"You okay?" Derek asked.
"Perfectly fine," I nodded and the scrub nurses brought us over the tray of instruments. The patient went under a few moments ago so Derek and I were ready to start.

I walked in the front door and heard people talking in the kitchen. I was tired. I wanted to lay down. I wanted to be antisocial. But I was also so hungry. I walked into the kitchen and Meredith, Maggie, and Lexie were talking.
"Hey!" Meredith said, "How'd that surgery with Derek go today?"
"It was good," I nodded.
"I saw that, that was so cool!" Lexie said. She was a first year resident. She was a baby. I think she'll also go into neuro, she's wicked smart. Smarter than me. Like a literal genious.
"Do you like Seattle?" Maggie asked.
"Oh yeah it's cool," I nodded.
"LA is better isn't it?" Meredith joked.
"I didn't say that," I chuckled, "They're two completely different places."
"Hey roomie," Arizona joked as she walked into the kitchen, "Are we all throwing a party in here?"
"We were pestering Amelia," Meredith joked. I chuckled and grabbed my dinner and sat down.
"That's my favorite thing to do," Arizona joked back. It shouldn't have made me feel something but it did. I shoved food into my mouth before I could say something stupid.
"Where's Alex?" Maggie changed the subject.
"He's on call tonight," Meredith said, "He's sleeping at the hospital."
"Sleeping, that's something I should be doing," Lexie chuckled.
ARIZONAS POV
I walked into my room and Amelia was already in bed. She was looking at something on her phone. I changed into pajams and laid down. I heard movement and looked over at Amelia.
"How was your day?" she asked me. It was sweet. It was cute honestly.
"Good," I said, "I saw your surgery. That was cool, you're really good."
"Thanks," she said awkwardly, that was one thing about Amelia, as awesome as she was, she couldn't take a compliment.
"Take the compliment you weirdo," I chuckled.
"I'm not weird," she protested.
"We share a room, you're weird," I said.
"How so?" she challenged and sat up.
"Well for starters, you talk in your sleep, it's not loud, but you definitely do. Second, you floss every single night before bed. I'm all for good teeth, but it's insane. I've never seen someone actually floss. That's like one of those things that you tell the dentist you do even though you don't. Like how people tell their doctors they're eating their fruits and vegetables. You also watch surgeries at night for fun like a psycho. Have you heard of reality TV? You should try it, it's rather interesting," I joked and she chuckled.
"So I do some weird things," she chuckled, "So do you."
"I do weird things?" I said and looked at her.
"You snore," she said.
"I do not," I said.
"You had your face pressed into my neck last night, you definitely snore," she said. I felt something that I shouldn't have. The idea of my face pressed into her neck. I remembered holding her last night, waking up snuggling her. Having thoughts I shouldn't.
"Fine maybe I snore," I said. She smirked and pulled the covers over her, obviously noticing my flustering.
"You can come over here again if you want," She said.
