Y/n's Birthday (Extra Chpt)

doing more of these now???? literally taking a break from the show storyline and putting my creative ninjago writing to the test.

another important thing to know about the main story and this chpt: y/n was a dragon, which was revealed in the chapter Rise of the Spinjitzu Masters, and she does not age. Rather, she ages slowly. But because I'm putting this in an early season two setting (before Child's Play), that will not be relevant to her birthday (so she will chronologically be turning seventeen (not including the thousands of years before)).

In the actual Silver Soul plot, Y/n doesn't know of the dragon aging herself and doesn't suspect her semi-immortality.

i'll clear more of this up after i finish writing season three (which is unfortunately taking a while, despite the lack of episodes). i'm actually so excited for y/n's lore to be hopefully revealed by season four :D

Your POV

"Y/n...?"

You didn't bring your attention to Lloyd's voice, still focused on the four other boys in the swing set. Jay, Zane, and Cole were all simultaneously pushing Kai on the swing, attempting to make a full swing above the bar.

Lloyd huffed and nudged you, nearly pushing you off the wooden park bench that was positioned to face the empty street in front. You tore your gaze away from the mischievous teens and to the blond beside you. "What?"

"Today... what's the date?"

You looked to the sky for a moment, silently trying to remember what date it was. "Y/b."

"And?" Lloyd raised his eyebrows at you. You gave him a dumbfounded look, not knowing why he was pestering you so deeply about the date.

"It's your birthday!"

'OH WELL IN THAT CASE-'

"Wait, how'd you know it's my birthday?" You stared down at him, both surprised and taken aback by his memory.

"Um..." Lloyd gave you an unimpressed look. "You told me! A while ago. We were talking in the Bounty, when you still had that leg injury from lava."

"Whaaaaat?" You straightened up, pretending to think about it and brushing off the fact you forgot your own birthday.

Lloyd giggled, pushing your shoulder. "Y/n!"

You smiled at the teasing and whining way he said your name, letting him push you without much effort. A yell, followed by a winded grunt, pulled both of your gazes towards the formerly occupied swing. Kai was on the ground lying on his stomach. The three boys behind him high-fived, watching the swing slow down to a stop after flying high through the air.

"Happy birthday, by the way," Lloyd whispered from beside you, leaning his head on your shoulder. The warm/chilly breeze (depends what season you're born in) ruffled through your hair as you looked down at the clingy boy. (anyway, what season were y'all born in? i've got a winter bday)

"Thanks, greenie," you hummed, kissing the top of his head. It was the first time your birthday had arrived in the duration since you've met the ninja, so you've known them for a little less than a year.

Lloyd looked up at you with his chin on your shoulder, pouting childishly per usual. "Heyyy, it's not my special day, it's yours."  He leaned forward slightly, planting a kiss on your neck just below your jawline. He was tall enough to kiss your cheek... yet.
