A month had passed.

Percy still hadn't woken up.

Apollo was depressed, barely moving from the son of Poseidon's bedside, not eating, and refusing to do his daily duty of raising and lowering the sun.

Feeling bad for him, Hermes took on the job.

Annabeth was still in a state of grief, staring hollowly into space every few minutes and then locking herself in her cabin for hours on end.

It pained some of the more caring Olympians to see their children so stricken.

~To present tense BC yeah~

Apollo sat on a wooden chair next to Percy's infirmary bed, fingers interlocked with the demigod's.

He looked tired, blonde hair loosely tied back, clothes crumpled, eyes red from crying.

Which he denied, because the sun doesn't cry.

Today, Nico was there as well, in hopes that the son of Poseidon would wake up.

After the injury, they had gotten him stable and out of danger within a day.

But he had slipped into a coma, and wasn't waking up.

Apollo was snapped out of his daze when the heart-monitor beeped, showing that Percy's heart-rate had spiked.

The blonde's grip tightened on his hand, and his eyes widened when the black haired boy's fingers twitched.

"Percy?" He breathed, scared to believe it in case he had been wrong.

Nico reacted immediately, eyes narrowed. "He's waking up?"

"I.. I think so."

"I'll get Will. If he does wake up, don't strangle him, that's my job."

The god just stared in shock as the son of Hades shadow travelled away, then blinked and returned his attention to the unconscious demigod.

"Seashell? Please wake up. I miss you, and so does Neeks. And Will. And Jason, and Annabeth, and Leo... Please, Perce."

There was another twitch, a lot more noticeable this time.

"Please," Apollo repeated.

Sea green eyes cracked open, and Percy exhaled slowly, forcing his lips to tilt into a smile.

"H-" he swallowed, voice raspy from disuse. "Hey, 'pollo."

"Oh, gods. Oh gods. Fuck, is this a dream? Tell me it's real, Seashell."

"Nah.. i-it's a dream..."

The god's expression fell.

The son of Poseidon gave a weak snort. "Kidding.. y-you should've seen your face.."

Tilting his head a little and wincing at the soreness in his neck, Percy frowned at the immortal.

"You look ill."

"He's lovesick," Nico interrupted, having reappeared in the room with Will.

Apollo went red. "Nico, shut up."

"What? Just saying the truth." The son of Hades swivelled around to face Percy. "Perseus Jackson."

"Nico Di Angelo."

"YOU IDIOT! DID YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED WE WERE?! GODS, PERCY, I WILL MURDER Y-"

"Neeks, no death threats in the infirmary, we've talked about this," Will muttered under his breath, just loud enough for the son of Hades to hear.

Nico scowled and crushed Percy in a hug, ignoring the latter's pained groan.

"Hey, how come you get to hug him first? I'm the one who's been here day and night for a month!"

Nico stuck his tongue out at Apollo.

Percy went pale.

"A month?!"

"Yes, a month. Angel, budge over a bit, I need to check his vitals," Will stated, gathering ambrosia.

The son of Hades glared at his boyfriend and moved over, allowing the sun god to take his turn at murdering Percy with a hug.

The green-eyed boy gripped the immortal's hand, knuckles going white.

"Seashell, relax."

"I'm trying."

"No, you're not."

"No, I'm not."

~Back to whatever the first tense was~

Throughout the rest of the day, various demigods came to visit him.

Miraculously, even Clarisse showed up.

Even if it was just to scream at him, it made Percy smile.

What bothered him was that he hadn't seen Piper.

Where was she?

He had asked many times, but the campers either flat out ignored him or evaded the question.

What had happened?

~Back to present tense, yay~

The son of Poseidon snapped.

"Can someone please tell me where the fuck Piper is?!"

"I, uh-"

Percy got a grip of the child of Demeter's blood.

"Tell me!"

The camper yelped in fear, eyes widening and complexion paling.

"Percy, let her go!" Apollo shouted over the rising cacophony of noise, his grip tightening on the demigod's hand.

He did exactly that.

In fact, he passed out.

After all, controlling blood takes a lot of energy.

And since he had practically none in the first place, he was now out like a light.

The god sighed, glancing at the shaken-up camper to check they were alright.

"Wh-what the hell!"

"Are you hurt?"

"No! But-"

"No? Okay, then. Leave. You're disturbing the other patients here with this outburst," Will interjected, painfully aware of the violent spikes of Percy's heart-rate.

So she left.

Will took a deep breath, grabbing a syringe, nectar and various other medical supplies.

He couldn't let the son of Poseidon die.

He wouldn't.
