Kit wasn't sure how Kate and Tyler had managed to create a new model so quickly, yet here they were, driving off into a new storm with the barrels on a trailer behind them. She knew they were smart of course, but this just felt like it was on a whole other level.

Amid their distraction from the model, Kit had taken that chance to sneak away. If they were staying then she didn't exactly want Kate to see the note & song she had left. That song was basically all her feelings thrown together. So she ran back into the barn to try and grab it only to find that it was gone. So Kate had already seen it. Kate had seen it and likely read it and clearly had no reaction to it. Kit ultimately felt horrible, but she would just shove it down and move on.

    Here's the thing.

If Kit was being totally honest with herself, she hadn't let herself process everything that happened with Kate. She didn't want to either. She knew the minute she let herself process it, she would end up in her bed and in tears crying to sad country music.

That's not what she wanted. Things were finally looking up. She was playing music again and Kate was here back in her life. So if she had to choose between letting herself process her emotions or simply ignoring them to keep Kate in her life? She would choose the latter.

However, that choice was making things harder by the minute. The feelings would come and go, one second she was smiling and thinking this was the best moment ever, the next she was forcing herself to swallow the lump in her throat to keep herself from crying. She'd already told Kate that she was in love with her, and given her a song that showed it, she didn't want to appear as the sad heartbroken girl who couldn't get over a rejection. She was humiliated enough.

The biggest issue with the fact that she was now trying to keep her feelings at bay and move on like normal was that seeing Tyler and Kate and the way they communicated with each other, caused a jealousy she didn't know she could have to crawl in. The worst part was that Kit had to admit that Kate and Tyler would look cute together. She knew Tyler wouldn't do that of course, not when he was still so insistent that Kate was in love with her. None of that kept Kit from thinking about how the way they were talking almost made them look like a couple.

Not to mention the way it made her stomach twist into a knot.

When suddenly music started from the radio, Kit immediately jumped. She hadn't been expecting it and Tyler as usual had the volume up way too loud.

"Yeah, that's my radio," Kit looked and leaned forward to turn it down. They weren't in the tornado yet, they didn't need the radio up that loud.

Kate looked around the car, touching everything in sight. Kit raised her eyebrows.

"Kate, what are you doing?" Tyler made a noise of agreement, clearly not liking that Kate was snooping around the truck so much. Kate just shrugged.
