Somersaults, that's what was happening to Kit's stomach as they began to drive toward the brewing storm in the distance. It felt like it was doing constant somersaults. She knew that the storm was what she should be focusing on, it was the reason they were here, but after what had just happened? She couldn't.

Kate had just said something Kit had been hoping to hear since she was 15 years old. She had spent hours crying in her room and honestly, she didn't know how many songs she had written about it - she'd lost count over the years. -

"I never said I didn't feel the same way." The words would not stop repeating in Kit's head. It almost felt like it was a dream, one that she had never thought would come true. So maybe she needed to focus, but it felt impossible.

The cars around them were moving quickly, everyone heading towards the storm. Kit, managed to see it and she felt her stomach turn at the clouds darkening and circling in the distance. There just felt like there wasn't something right about this but she couldn't figure out why.

"Okay, ground speed's at 22. Intercept is northeast. Look for Siloam Road." Kate spoke from the front seat. Boone had gone with Lily so it was just Kate, Kit, and Tyler in the truck. Kit was kind of glad Tyler was here, she didn't think she'd be able to handle being alone with Kate at the moment.

"Siloam Road." Tyler nodded, pressing the gas pedal to speed them up. The clouds were starting to gather around more and the wind was picking up. You could tell from the amount of dirt flying up around them and the noise as the wind began to howl.

It was seconds later when Tyler was forced to hit the brakes and swerve to stop them. STORMPAR vehicles had cut in front of them just as the Wranglers had done to them a few days ago. Tyler laughed, but Kit held tightly onto her seat.

"Hey these storm buttheads are cutting us off man," Boone yelled from over the radio. Kit could hear everyone honking their horns as the rest of STORMPAR cut them off.

Kate glanced back at Kit, checking on her and Kit nodded reassuringly that she was okay. She just wanted this to be over, she needed to talk to Kate.

"All right, let's not get distracted," Tyler grabbed his own radio and instructed the rest of the team. "Let's get these babies in the air!"  They were so close to finishing Kate's project. So close to taming a tornado.

Tyler pressed the gas again, the tornado in the distance was growing. They entered the rain and it started heavy. Kit leaned forward a little bit to look at the tablet Kate was holding. Then it went dark.

"Doppler went dark," Kate turned to Tyler.

"I don't think that's a good thing?" Kit added. She didn't want to admit she was worried but she was. The Doppler was how they were tracking this thing.
