The Talk

Lisa POV

"Welcome home" Dad said as he saw me entering the house.

"How was your work today? All good with Jennie?" He asked.

"Are you doing this in purpose to make her close to me again?" I asked him back.

"What do you mean?"

"Dad. She's very annoying. I can't work with her Dad. Worse part is she's the Chairman where I had to report all the work to her. She even took my office room!"

Dad laugh.

"Haha..She's the boss sweetheart. Of course she's going to take your room. I used to be there and since you took my position, you used that room. And now she's the new boss. Just deal with it. You'll get used to with her presence"

"That's the thing. She's my boss now. And nothing can be more annoying than that"

I sit on the couch in the living room. And hugged the cushion.

"She changed the company name to Kim Manoban Industries" I said annoyingly.

"That sounds better" Dad said.

"Dad!"

"Hahaa.. I told you my reason why I took their offer. Trust me she's good at her work. She has sharp business sense"

"I can tell that. I saw it already how she dominate the meeting today"

"See! I won't be wronged" Dad said proudly.

"It's not about you're wrong or not. It's just. She's being too close for my liking. I've been avoiding her ever since the proposal incident and now she's hovering me as if she wants me back in her life. She hurts me the way no one ever did. And I'm still hurt by her Dad"

"Let her heal you then"

I look at Dad. Tears almost falling from my eyes.

"No. I can't. I don't want to get hurt again" I shook my head.

"Then why don't you find someone else? You haven't been dating anyone ever since you break up with her"

"It's not easy Dad. She was my first love. I loved her so much that I've nothing to offer for someone else. I don't want just dating someone and let them love me while I can't give my feelings to them. It's unfair. It will hurt them and I don't want to hurt anyone"

Dad took deep sigh.

"Then just be professional with her without feeling being involved. Look at her as your boss not your ex"

I look at Dad and he nodded.

"I'm gonna take shower" I said and getting up from my seat, heading to my bedroom.

I closed my bedroom door and have my back against it.

"How could I do that if my heart still beating madly whenever I see her. You're torturing me Kim"

Jennie POV

"Hi Mom" I greet my mom who's in the kitchen cooking for dinner.

"Hi sweety. How was your day?" She asked.

I sit on the chair near the island.

"Hmm... It was okay"

"And how is Lisa? Was she happy to see you?"

I shook my head.

"She is cold. I don't even know her anymore. She has changed A LOT"

"Give her some time. She saw you after so many years"
