The Dinner

Lisa POV

Jennie's Dad inviting me to have dinner with him and his wife. So right after we done with the site visit, we went straight to their house.

"Dad. I'm home" Jennie shout at the living room.

I saw her Dad coming in from the back yard. He still looks the same just like I met him for the first time 7 years ago. He smile when he saw me.

"Lisa!" He said hugging me.

"Hi Uncle. How are you?"

He released the hug "I'm good sweetheart. Perfectly fine. It's good to see you again after so many years" He said tapping my shoulder.

"Like wise Uncle" I smile at him.

"Ehem" Jennie clear her throat and gaining Mr Kim and I attention.

"Oh hahahaha I forgot that you're here" Mr Kim said playfully.

"Dad!"

"Let's go inside. Your mom is cooking dinner right now. Come Lisa"

I nodded and walked with them to the dining table.

Jennie went ahead to the kitchen to help her mom in preparing dinner while I'm sitting here with her Dad.

Why am I sweating?

"Are you okay Lisa?"

"Huh? Y-yeah I'm fine" I smile.

"You are sweating"

"Oh.. No worries Uncle I'm fine"

I'm nervously fidgeting my fingers. Don't know how to start conversations with him.

"So. You were at the site in Han River? How's the progress?"

"The construction is doing well, we are on 60% already. I'm sure we can finish it before the deadline" I said to him.

He nodded and smiling.

"That's great. I'm happy that you both taking full responsibility for the company and keep monitoring for every project. That's really important. Don't let anything distract your focus. And most importantly, you have to separate between personal and professional life" He whispered on the last line.

"Don't worry Uncle. We can handle this"

"I trust you both"

I smile "Thank you"

After 15 minutes, Jennie and her mother came with the foods.

"Hi Lisa. How are you my dear?"

I got up from my chair and hugging Mrs Kim.

"I'm fine Aunty. I hope you're doing the same" I smile and sit back on my chair.

"Yes yes I am fine" She said smiling at me.

"Okay.. Let's have the dinner. Lisa please have it"

I nodded and took some food on my plate.

We were having our dinner and talking about business in between. Mr Kim telling me story about how Jennie failed the audition to be a singer. Her parents keep teasing her about that.

"Okay guys that's enough this is not fair. I don't have a backup here" Jennie said pouting at her parents.

"You have Lisa" Her mom said.

I raised my hands "No. Let me out of this"

I shook my head and laughing at her because she's getting more annoyed.
