The Recovery

2 Weeks Later

Jennie POV

"Any improvement?" Dad asked.

I shook my head while looking at Lisa through the window.

"I feel like losing hope" I said.

"Sshh.. Don't say that. I'm sure Lisa is fighting to survive right now. Trust her okay?" Dad hugged me.

I kept looking at Lisa while hugging Dad.

Please baby wake up. For me.

Then I saw her finger moving. Her eyes slowly opened and she was coughing.

I spontaneously released his embrace.

"DOCTOR!!" I shouted.

In a minute the doctor and nurse came into Lisa's room and checked her.

I hold Dad's arm tightly. While the doctor unplugged the tube from her mouth and checked her eyes. She's following the light. He checked on her feet and she gave the reaction.

I looked at them closely. Hoping that she is fully awake and fine by now. I missed her. I want to hug her. I want to kiss her so badly.

After a while, doctor was looking at my direction and rising his thumb up as a signal that she's okay. Dad and I looking at each other and hugging, we felt relieved.

Lisa was looking at me. I wave at her and blow her a kiss and say I love you. Tears escaping from my eyes.

The nurse informed us that we can see Lisa now. So Dad and I went inside.

"Hi Baby" I said stroking her hair and kissed her head.

She smiled weakly. Her face still pale. Her eyebag so dark. My heart still beating crazily seeing her like this. Some part of me still worried about her.

"How are you feeling Lisa?" Dad asked.

"Feel like reborn" She said with her raspy voice.

Dad laughed.

"What's the status Doctor?" I asked.

"Ms Manoban organ slowly back in normal again. But we still have to monitor her from time to time. And since you just woke up from long sleep. We have to check if there is any side effect from the surgery or not. If you feel any inconvenience, please let me know" He said to Lisa.

She nodded.

"I'll excuse myself"

"Thank you Doctor" I said.

"I'll leave you two" Dad said.

I nodded.

I pulled the chair and sit next to Lisa. I hold her hand, brushing my thumb at the back of her palm and having my other hand stroking her hair.

"I'm sorry for making you worried" She said.

I shook my head "No. I'm sorry. If I didn't throw that party. This won't be happened"

"Don't blame yourself" She said.

"I was so scared. I scared that you won't survive and leave me alone" I said crying holding her hand.

"I won't die that fast Jennie. I still have to take revenge on you" She said giggled.

We both laugh.

"Uhuk uhuk" Lisa cough.

I quickly give her a glass of water which then she drink it.

"Better?" I asked.
