Rythian’s POV
I lay on the floor panting. Zoey ran up to me.
“Rythian, you know Duncan is here?” I managed to sit up against the wall.
“He shot me.” She gasped and checked me over. I looked into those beautiful yellow eyes.
“You seem fine. Come on.” She helped me up. I kissed her. She deepened the kiss, making me deepen it too. I pushed her against the wall, and pulled away.
“I love you Zoey.”
“I love you too Rythian.” She put her arms down to her side and I put my arms above her shoulders. I kissed her again then pulled her to the floor. She lay on top of me and put her hands under my top, rubbing my chest. I let her take my top off. Then I picked her up and carried her to the bed. I lay on top of her and pulled her pants slowly off, leaving her in her underwear. “I’m ready Rythian.” I pulled my pants down and her underwear down and entered her. She moaned and I continued. We continued through the night. We fell asleep in each other’s arms. I woke to Teep roaring. I scrambled from bed and quickly got dressed. I ran to Teep’s roar and found Teep fighting off a spider.
“That was it, a spider. You woke me up for this?” Teep looked at me in confusion. I had the feeling he wasn’t the one who roared. I turned to see Sjin grinning madly. “Fuck!” I drew my katar, which instantly disappeared. “What?”
“Oh... sorry, item disrupter.” I held my hands together and began to mutter. Sjin started to float. “Erm... Rythian... can you put me down?” I held him in the air.
“Why are you here?” He scrabbled against the wall trying to get down, but my magic was too strong. “Why are you here?”
“I was looking for you. I came to ask a favour.”
“Why would I do that for you?” He laughed a little.
“Because if you don’t; I have things that will hurt your precious Zoey.”
“You wouldn’t.”
“Oh but I would. Rythian, it is me, Sjin. I’m not an imposter.”
“What is the favour? Remember I can say no.”
“But if you do something may happen. Ah, the favour. I want you to kill someone or seriously maim.” I glared at him. I saw Teep in the corner of my eye, he had his bow drawn. “Those people would be Lewis and Duncan.”
“What has Lewis ever done to you?”
“It’s because he is against us all with Duncan.” I glared at him.
“You will leave as soon as I let you go. You will go and never come back. You will receive a letter about if I will do it or not soon.” He smiled and I let him go.
“Thank you.” He walked out and then disappeared over the mountains.
“Rythian?” I jumped at Zoey’s voice. “What are you doing? Come back to bed.” I walked upstairs with her and wrapped her in my arms.
“I love you Zoey. I wouldn’t let anything happen to you ever.” I hugged her. Teep ran upstairs and sat on me. “What now?” I looked at him and he had the post in his mouth. “Oh... Thanks.” Zoey was asleep now, so I opened them all. There was a letter for Zoey, hand written, and in a familiar handwriting. I read it and hated it; then I found out it was from Duncan. I growled. Zoey turned over; she was so peaceful when she slept. “I love you Zoey.” I whispered as I got out of the bed and walked outside. I sat by the farm and watched Teep run around after a butterfly. I thought about what will happen to Zoey if I don’t kill Lewis and Duncan. What will Sjin actually do? What can he do? I’m the most powerful person in the world right now. I got up and went for a walk around the forest nearby.
“I see you.” I looked around and could see no one.
“Who’s there?”
“I can see you.”
“Where are you?” I walked around looking around each tree but could find no one. “Show yourself!”
“Hello.” A small boy walked out from behind a tree. I almost killed him.
“Who are you?” He was wearing a kilt and had a nose that was a little large.
“I’m Ravs, nice to meet you.” He held out his hand and I shook it reluctantly. “I’m stranded. My house appeared here randomly, I’m not sure how though.” He pointed behind him and I saw a little shack.
“How old are you?”
“Only 12, but I know what I’m doing.” He smiled. I nodded to him.
“Going now.” I turned and walked away.
“Wait! I never got your name.”
“Rythian.” I continued to walk back ignoring him. I reached the house and Zoey was in the living room in just a top and her underwear. “Morning Zoey.” She turned to me.
“Morning.” I kissed her and sat next to her. I loved her and didn’t want anything to happen to her. I had decided to do what Sjin wanted. I will kill Duncan but protect Lewis. Lewis doesn’t deserve to die for Duncan. “Rythian you ok?”
“Yeah I’m fine.” I pulled her into me and cuddled her. “I love you so much.” I kissed the top of her head and let Teep curl up with us on the couch.
