Rythian’s POV – 15 Years Later
We had a beautiful baby girl with purple eyes and bright red hair. She never tied it up, and I gave her one of my old capes. She was the most perfect little girl in the world, I loved her. She was going to school soon, my old school. Sky had been homeschooled by Zoey and me until she was 16. Zoey and I had gotten married a year after having her. She flew up to me, her little cape flapping in the wind.
“Dad! It’s time!” I smiled and grabbed her hand.
“Then let’s go, Sky! See you Zoey!” I heard a little bang. “Zoey?”
“I’m fine, hold on.” She flew out. “I’m coming with you.” I huffed. “Well I don’t know what if you do something?”
“Fine, come on.” We flew to school. We landed outside and walked to the entrance. Sky stopped in her tracks and I almost dragged her to the floor. “What’s wrong?”
“I’m scared dad. What if they make fun of me?”
“Trust me, if they make fun of you they’ll know about it.” I smiled and hugged her. “I wouldn’t let anything happen to you.” She smiled.
“Thanks dad, I love you.” She flew up and hugged me. I nodded and let her walk in. I held back the tears and watched as she skipped into school.
“Zoey?” I turned and saw Duncan and Lewis with a boy. “How are you?” She turned and gasped.
“Duncan! Lewis!” She ran and hugged them both at the same time. I smiled a little. Duncan was in his normal lab clothed and Lewis in his red top and black pants. I waved at them and Duncan nodded. She saw the boy. “Who’s this?”
“This is Steven.” Lewis said ruffling the boys light brown hair. Zoey waved me over. I reluctantly walked over and wrapped my arms around her waist.
“Hello Duncan and Lewis.” Lewis nodded and took Steven into school. “How did you have a child?” Duncan checked to see if Steven was inside.
“He’s adopted. We took him in when he was four years old.” Duncan smiled as Lewis came back.
“He’s fine. He’s talking to a girl his age.”
“Well, we have to go now.” Zoey protested.
“We should all go out for a chat and see how we’ve been doing.” Lewis and Zoey loved this idea. Duncan and I; not so keen. We walked to Duncan’s castle. He wasn’t happy about that. Lewis and Zoey walked in and I kept Duncan behind a moment.
“Duncan, I promise we aren’t going to do anything. Just let Zoey do her thing.” We walked inside and saw Lewis showing Zoey photos of Steven. I sat on the couch and stared at the ceiling. I fell asleep on the couch in boredom. I woke to Zoey shaking me awake. “W... w... what?”
“Can you go and pick up Sky and Steven?”
“Both of them?” She nodded. “Ok, fine.” I got up and flew to the school. I waited outside for Sky and Steven. They walked out holding hands. My eyes ignited with purple. “Sky!” She jumped and walked over to me.
“Hi dad, this is Steven.”
“I know.” She smiled.
“Steven is my... um... best friend.” I glared at her.
“Really?” I looked at him and he stepped back a little.
“Stop it. He’s just a friend.” She looked at him and they smiled at each other.
“I’m dropping you off at home Steven.” He nodded and we walked home. We had to walk because Steven didn’t have a flying ring. I made them walk either side of me. We reached the castle and I stood outside waiting for Zoey and Sky to come back outside. I gave up and walked in. Zoey and Lewis were chatting constantly and Duncan was sat on the sofa looking very grumpy. “Duncan, what’s going on?”
“Steven and Sky have gone upstairs and we are not to disturb them at all.” He frowned and Lewis turned and raised his eyebrows at him. “Alright.” He slumped into the chair. I started pacing and getting really paranoid. Zoey got up and took me outside.
“Rythian are you ok?” I shook my head. “They aren’t going to do anything stupid.” She smiled and I nodded slowly. “Okay, are you going to stop?” I nodded. “Thank you.” She embraced me and kissed me deeply. She grabbed my hand and walked back inside. “Come on my Mr Mage.” I sat down and she sat on my knee. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her into me.
“I love you.” Duncan and I still weren’t happy about our children being alone. They were most likely kissing. After a while Sky walked into the living room. “What’s up Sky?”
“Can I stay here tonight?”
“NO!” Duncan and I shouted in unison. Lewis covered Duncan’s mouth.
“Of course you can.” Zoey said. She walked over to Sky. She whispered something to her and backed up to me. I stared at Zoey as she stood in front of me. I huffed.
“Thanks mum. So Mr Jones, can I?” Before Duncan could answer Lewis stepped in.
“Yes you can, I’ll order some pizza for you and you can eat up there.” Sky smiled.
“Thank you, you guys are the best.” She hugged us all then flew up to Steven. I growled.
“That child better be careful.”I said so quietly so only Zoey could hear me. She elbowed me in the gut.
“Well we must go now.” Zoey said. “Lewis, don’t forget the pizza.” We flew back to our new base in the desert. It was safer than our old base. Duncan had told me a while ago he’d blown it up. He said he did this because it would make Sjin and Sips think he was in the nether.
“Are you serious?” Zoey looked at me in surprise. “They are both 16 and in their own. Think about it, we did it.” She smiled.
“Leave them alone Rythian. If we did it why can’t they?” I looked at her; I did love her.
