Along her desk were pictures of her and the Avengers posing at the camera from all kinds of different angles. Jules mindlessly fiddled with the necklace around her neck, not realising that a few things started to float around in her room. It's been a few days since the Phoenix had finally entered into her life. Properly, that is
The power that came along with it gave her a new surge of power. Jules felt at ease for once, she could finally let go. And the new wave of power was one of the reasons why a bunch of objects started to float around in her room, too.
But today felt different, Jules knew that the Phoenix could feel it too. There was a feeling of tension in the air, one that she couldn't quite place. She had been sensing something strange ever since she woke up that morning—a sort of shift in the atmosphere, as if the world itself was holding its breath.
Jules turned to look out the huge ceiling-to-floor window across her walls. Completely oblivious to the fact that her objectsbwere floating. "Something is about to happen, something that will alter the course of your life." Before Jules could respond, there was a knock on her door making her gasp in surprise as the objects fell and looked at her bedroom door. Before looking back at the mirror only to find herself staring right back at her. Jules looked around at the mess before cringing slighy. Did she do that?
Jules turned, and to her surprise, her father walked in with a grin on his face. Making Jules furrow her eyebrows and a small smile form on her lips.
"Hey, kiddo," Tony spoke. He walked over to her, holding an envelope in one hand and a small metallic disc in the other. Jules furrowed her eyebrows,
