Jules Antonia Stark adjusted her wool hat as she walked into the common area, Goose trotting beside her with a festive red bow around his neck. Pietro lounged lazily on the couch, munching on candy canes he'd undoubtedly swiped from Kirishima's stash.
"You know, you could try actually helping with decorations instead of just eating them," Jules teased, plucking a candy cane from Pietro's grip.
Pietro gave a dramatic sigh. "I'm providing moral support. That's invaluable."
Goose let out a grumble-like purr, brushing up against Todoroki's leg as he quietly strung lights along the edge of the fireplace. Todoroki glanced down, giving the feline a small scratch behind the ears.
"You decorate too seriously," Jules noted, folding her arms as she observed him. "It's Christmas, not a military operation."
Todoroki gave a tiny shrug. "It should look right."
Pietro snorted from the couch. "Says the guy who folds his socks like he's performing surgery."
Todoroki ignored the jab, his focus shifting as Goose jumped onto the couch and curled up beside Pietro.
Moments later, Mina shrieked from the kitchen. "Mistletooooe! Oh my God, who put this here?"
Heads turned as Kaminari proudly pointed at the doorway where he'd clearly planted the offending decoration.
"If you get caught under it, you know the rule!" Mina sing-songed.
Pietro smirked. "Todoroki, better watch out. Someone might ambush you."
Jules rolled her eyes but couldn't help grinning.
As the evening progressed, the class exchanged Secret Santa gifts, Todoroki quietly slipping Jules a wrapped box with a simple ribbon tied around it.
"Open it later," he said, his eyes briefly meeting hers before flickering away.
Jules blinked. "Uh... thanks."
Pietro, of course, raised a knowing eyebrow but said nothing.
As the party started winding down, Jules stepped away from the crowd, heading toward the hallway for some air. Goose padded beside her, his tail flicking lazily.
She didn't realize Todoroki had followed until she heard his footsteps approaching.
"Needed a break too?" he asked, his voice calm.
