She tugged at the strap of her backpack, the weight of it comforting after such an intense day. The first hero training exercise at U.A. had been nothing short of challenging. Although her team ultimately lost, she couldn't help but feel a sense of pride over how she had handled Todoroki during their fight. Beating him had been no small feat, even if the victory was more personal than official.

As she made her way toward her luxury apartment complex, Jules let her thoughts drift back to the argument she'd had with Todoroki the day before. The tension between them still hung in the air, unresolved and prickling. There was something about him that got under her skin, and the feeling was clearly mutual. It was almost as if he was challenging her very presence at U.A., testing her limits. Today's battle had been the first real confrontation between them, and even though she came out on top, she knew this wouldn't be the end of it.

As she approached her apartment building, she took a deep breath and tried to shake off the lingering tension. "It's over. Move on," she told herself.

"He pushed you, didn't he? You need opponents like that," the Phoenix's voice murmured in her mind, its tone almost playful.

"I don't need you analysing everything I do," Jules replied internally, her thoughts laced with irritation. "Especially after the way you jumped in during that fight."

"Oh, you know you liked it. The power, the rush... And look at the results. He's rattled, and confused. And you're still holding back."

Jules didn't respond. She was too tired to argue with the ancient entity residing within her. Instead, she focused on climbing the stairs to her apartment, hoping a quiet evening would help clear her mind.

As she reached her door, it slid open automatically, and a familiar, soothing voice greeted her.

"Welcome back, Miss Kuroyama. I trust your day was eventful?" Jarvis's tone was warm, with just a hint of sarcasm.

Jules smiled despite herself. "Eventful is putting it mildly, Jarvis. You've got a knack for understatement."

"I've had plenty of practice, courtesy of your father," Jarvis replied smoothly. "Might I suggest a relaxing evening? Perhaps a light snack and some quiet time. You deserve it after today's challenges."

Jules chuckled, shrugging off her hero suit jacket and draping it over a nearby chair. "I might just take you up on that."

But as she stepped further into the living room, her eyes landed on something unexpected—a cat sitting on the countertop, its orange fur glowing in the dim light. Next to the cat was a small note, written in a neat and familiar script.
