𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒔 𝑭𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒍 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍 𝒔𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈, but Stephanie Strange wasn't focused on the present. Her match had gone better than expected, and the murmurs from the Pro Heroes in the stands confirmed that she had made an impression. Adjusting the straps of her P.E. uniform, she exhaled and started making her way toward Class 1-B's waiting area.
To get there, she had to pass by Class 1-A's stands.
Her white-streaked hair swayed as she walked, ignoring the excited whispers around her. She had learned early on that moving with purpose was the best way to avoid unnecessary conversation.
But then—
"STEPHIEEEEEE!"
A blur of red and gold shot toward her, and before she could react, Jules Stark practically tackled her.
"ACK—JULES—" Stephanie stumbled, barely managing to stay on her feet as Jules squeezed her in a bone-crushing hug.
"You idiot, how could you not tell me you were here?!" Jules demanded, still clinging to her. "I just saw you in the arena and nearly lost my mind!"
"I—needed—air—" Stephanie wheezed.
Pietro Maximoff strolled up behind them, shaking his head. "This is what you get for ghosting us, Steph."
"I did not ghost you."
Pietro raised an eyebrow.
"Okay, maybe I did," she admitted, finally prying Jules off. "But in my defense, it was fun."
Jules scoffed and punched her arm playfully. "You haven't changed."
Stephanie smirked. "Neither have you."
Before the conversation could continue, an annoyed scoff cut through the air.
"Tch."
Stephanie's expression shifted instantly. Her eyes flickered to the stands—where Katsuki Bakugo sat, arms crossed, watching the group.
Jules noticed her reaction and raised an eyebrow. "Wait—you two know each other?"
Stephanie didn't hesitate.
"Yeah. Unfortunately."
Katsuki's eye twitched.
Pietro bit back a grin. Oh, this was going to be good.
"Wait, hold on," Jules looked between them. "How do you know each other?"
Stephanie crossed her arms, her voice flat. "Because this gremlin nearly blew me up on the first day of school."
Jules blinked. "Huh?"
"Oh yeah," Stephanie continued, tilting her head mockingly at Katsuki. "I bumped into him. He yelled. I yelled back. Kendo had to drag me away before I decked him."
