Heat Of The Moment

Ciara POV

She stares at me blankly like she's shaken up.

"Nicki?" I asks as she avoids eye contact with me

"Yea" She sighs

"Answer the question" I say

"I don't Know" She says looking like she's about to cry

"I know your lying" I say

"No I'm not" She says lowly

"Yes you are" I sigh

"Why do you wanna know so bad!?" She semi yelled as her voice cracked

"Why would I not wanna know why my friend kissed me?" I say frustrated

"It's complicated" She says while tears form in her eyes

"Nicki why are you crying?" I ask softly

It really hurt me to see her cry no matter what situation we're in.

"I'm sorry" She says while the tears stream down her cheek

"I ruined our friendship and I'm so sorry" She says

"Nicki-" I started but was cut off

"No,you know it's true,this whole situation just proved that I ruined it" She says as she starts to stand up

I pull her back down and she starts to cry more.

"Nicki you didn't ruin our friendship" I say trying to calm her down

"Yes-" She starts but I cut her off

"It was just a heat of the moment" I say

I try to wipe her tears as best as I can but she keeps crying.

"Please stop crying" I say while looking in her eyes

I wipe what I hope would be the last tear I cause her.

"You didn't ruin our friendship" I say softly

I feel a spark as we never break eye contact. I lean in and kiss her softly,after a few seconds she kisses back. I lay her back on the bed and kiss her deeper. She grips my waist and pulls me in closer while gently biting on my bottom lip. I pull away and tilt her head back,exposing her neck. I kiss down her neck slowly before sucking on a spot by her ear. She moans softly and I flick my tongue over the spot. I move back up to her lips and kiss her passionately. I sit up realizing that this went too far,she sits up too and smiles faintly at me.

"I'll see you later at my moms house?" She asks

"Yea I'll be there" I say

"Ok,bye" She says

"Bye" I say and she walks out the room

This didn't go well.

Nicki POV

I'm at my moms house with Amir helping her set everything up.

"Babe you ok?" Amir asks

"Yea" I say

"You sure?" He asks

"I'm fine" I smile

"Ok" He says while placing the silverware on the table

Ever since I left from Ciara house I've been feeling confused. Does she have feelings for me too,cause the kiss today was pretty passionate. My mom wanted to have a little dinner with all of us to catch up with each other. The doorbell rings and I go open it.

"Hey" I say greeting August and Safaree

"Hey" They said

"Where's mama?" They asks coming in

All of our moms are like another mom to us.

"She's in the kitchen" I say

I help bring the food in the dining room while my mom finished cooking. The doorbell rings and I greet Tyla,Christian,Ci,and J'Shawn. It felt weird hugging Ci but I didn't show much emotion so anybody could notice.

"Hey babies" My mom says while hugging them

"You still give out tight hugs" Christian says

"Oh boy shut up" She chuckles

"Your baby boy is here" Drake announces as he walks in with Future

"That's everybody" I tell her

We sit at the table and hold hands as my mom says grace. We unjoin hands and start eating,she made a big soul food dinner. Fried Chicken,Collard Greens,Baked Mac&Cheese,Corn Bread,and some Sweet Iced Tea.

"You still know how to cook mama Carol" Drake says while stuffing his face

"What you mean 'still' you don't just stop knowing how to cook" She chuckles

"We eating like black people" I heard August says while high-fiving Future

"Ci why you so quiet baby?" My mom asks

I look up and we look at each other before my mom.

"It's nothing" She says softly

"You and Onika said that same story,y'all got into an argument or something?" She asks looking between us

"Something like that" I say

"Well whatever it is go upstairs and handle it" She says

"No,it's ok,promise" Ci says quickly

"After we're done eating I want you two to go handle it" My mom says seriously

"Ok ma" I say

I look up at Ci and we make brief eye contact. She sighs nervously before eating again. We all talk and laugh as time goes by. When we're done eating,just like my mom said me and Ci went to go talk.

"Ok,we have to act like nothing happened" I say

"I know" She sighs

"Let's just put on smiles and get through the day" I say

"Ok" She says

I contemplate on hugging her but the way things are set up it might be best not to. We go downstairs and sit in the living room with the rest of them.

"All good?" My mom asks

"All good" We smile
