Nicki POV

Tonight is the night I'm gonna propose to Ciara,my love,my baby,my everything,I really pray she says "Yes". I spent all day making reservations for dinner and afterwards I have something planned in the backyard. I was getting ready for the dinner and I was a little nervous,I get dressed in something dressy but not too dressy cause we're going to her favorite restaurant,Mr. Chow's. When I'm done getting ready I sit on the bed and wait for her to get ready,I pull the ring out my purse and look at it for a while,hopefully tonight goes well. I put it back in the box and in my purse before she came out the bathroom. When she comes out she gets dressed in some tight black leather pants,a black shirt,it's kinda see-through but not that much,and some black heels. She adds a little makeup and brushes her hair into a bun.

"Is this good?" She asks

"Perfect" I smile

I didn't tell her where we were going so she didn't really know what to put on. We leave the house and drive over to the restaurant,when we get there her eyes light up and she looks at me.

"Ok,what do you have planned?" She asks

"Nothing" I smirk

"Mmhmm ok" She smiles

We get out the car and walk into the restaurant and walk up to the hostess.

"Any reservations?" He asks

"Yes,Onika Maraj" I say

"Right this way" He says as he leads us to the booth in the back

As the night goes on,we talk,laugh,and just enjoy each others company. I am positive that I'm making the right decision and I won't have any regrets.

"Be honest Nic what do you have planned?" She asks

"Nothing" I say

"I know you do" She smirks

"You'll find out later" I say

About 30 minutes later we split the bill and get in the car,heading back home. When we get there I change out my clothes and put on a pair of sweatpants and a T-Shirt,I wait for her to change and I grab a blanket and my speakers and we go outside to the backyard. I lay the sheet on the grass and I connect my phone to it putting it on a "Current Hits" playlist on low volume, All types of songs from Hip-Hop to R&B to Pop to Gospel music comes on and we take turns rapping or singing it. Listening to the music and staring up at the stars puts me into a place to tell her now,We've been dating for 9 months and I think the timing is right.

"Ci" I say

She turns her head to me and looks at me with questioning eyes.

"These last 21 years we've been friends have been everything and more,since the day I met you you have been so caring and loving and I am truly grateful for you,when we were teens you were there for me through my problems and frustrations,so far in our relationship you've done nothing but show how much you love and care about me,I will always love you no matter what and I'll show you everyday" I say as I look deeply into her eyes

"You're so sweet,I love you too" She smiles

I kiss her softly and sit up,reaching over for my purse,I grab the box with the ring in it and hide it behind my back.

"What is that?" She asks

"You wanna know what I have planned?" I smirk

"Yes for the 20th time" She says causing me to laugh

All night she's been asking me what I have planned.

"Alright" I sigh

I close my eyes and take a deep breath before bringing my hands in front of me,still covering the box.

"Ciara Princess Harris,will you marry me?" I ask while opening the box

She looks at the box then up at me,obviously speechless,I wish she would give me an answer cause I'm starting to think I should've waited.

"Yes" She smiles

I place the ring on her finger and smile big before kissing her deeply. Thank God.
