All that glitters isn't gold -Inanimate Insanity AU-

Sterile cold metal, the smell of cleanliness lingering in the air, a sort of mechanical smell.. but it wasn't over powering or even that bad. Oddly the scent was more comforting for him, Fan placed down his phone, having enough of mindlessly scrolling down different social medias. Fan sighed, gazing up he peered over towards Test Tube who was repairing Bot's arm. Apparently Bot and Goo were doing some cheer factory type stuff, which went poor as Bot somehow broke their arm. The stretchy robotic limb only hung on by a mere red wire, oil dribbled out of the wound, painting the side of their metal body.

Test Tube eyed the wound, tinkering away as she realigned the limb. No words spoken, Fan continued to observe the repair, his eyes tracing along the rip in the arm socket.. Fan's eyes soften, he wondered how much pain Bot felt from the injury. Fan knew he and Test Tube gave them a few pain receptors, in hopes to make them appear more real.. Fan just hoped these receptors weren't to sensitive, he wouldn't want Bot to be in excruciating pain.

"Remind me again how a little tumble practically ripped off your arm?" Test Tube suddenly spoke up, disturbing the serene silence with her nasally voice. Said voice etched in suspicion but concern as well, as she gazed down at Bot.

Bot squirmed slightly, shrugging they replied smoothly, "..well- the tumble down the hill.. led to a few rocks.. and- I think you can tell what happened from there."

Test Tube's face twisted up at the idea of what happened, "...this accident caused.. from a cheer factory operation gone sour?"

Bot nodded their head, giving Test Tube an awkward smile before Test Tube sighed, "well.. can you tell me what the operation was?" Test Tube asked after a beat of silence.

"..we wanted to.. surprise Cabby with something.. but- I ended up.. y'know," Bot chuckled, remembering their past actions with amusement, Test Tube hummed in acknowledgement from the clarification. 

Gently Fan observed as Test Tube fixed the arm in place, a few more adjustments then Test Tube grabbed a damp cloth. Wiping off the oil stains on Bot's pristine white metal body. Test Tube smiled once she was done, readjusting her round shaped glasses. "That should do it!" Test Tube remarked, "give it a whirl for me."

Bot nodded their head, raising their arm up cautiously they eyed it with much suspicion. As though the arm would suddenly fall off if they made any sudden movements. But after a few rotations of moving the arm up and down, Bot's movements quicken as they gained confidence. They started to spin their arm around really fast, before testing out it's stretchy capabilities. After the tests were concluded, Bot's smile was beaming, "thanks Testy." 

"No problem," Test Tube smiled warmly, "now please be more careful next time in your cheer factory operations, I am always down to repair you Bot, however I am still concerned with each injury..." Test Tube leaned down, inspecting the metal in the area around the fixed arm..

"..There doesn't seem to be any dents," Test Tube muttered, gently grabbing Bot, she moved them around to investigate further, "nope, you seem all good.. you got out lucky.. I used a good strong metal to build you."

"..Uh- thanks?" Bot raised an eyebrow, shuffling out of Test Tube's rough grasp.

"Yes well- no need," Test Tube replied, straightening up with her arms behind her vial back. Fan decided to get up from his steel seat, wandering over to the two. "..I would only use the best for.. well- our best creation."

Fan nodded his head, hopping up on the metal bench next to Bot, "anyways- how's the library? How's Goo? How's Cabby?" Fan started to ask, a soft smile on his face.

"..eh- its fine, the library and Paradise island are fine, much warmer this time of year as Spring progresses," Bot remarked, earning nods from the two other Objects, "Goo is doing well, though he was very worried when my arm got ripped off.. and Cabby is doing well as well, she's handling the library quite nicely."
