These past three days... Haven't been the worst days of MePhone4's life... The robot knows he has faced worst hours.. felt worst pain.. endured worst punishments at the cruel hands of Steve Cobs.. however.. these days were far from the best.
For the dreary nights, MePhone4 spent them nestled up in his old bed. Letting his own mind run wild, as he desperately clutched onto one of his nightlights. MePhone4 hadn't even bothered to touch the TV out in the common room during the evenings. That would bring back too much.. of those days of yore... When his brother was still.. here.. no- he wouldn't discredit 4S's memory..
For the days MePhone4 spent them working himself to the circuits, or the metal bone. Obeying Cobs silently, as MePhone4 fulfilled tasks he never ever wanted to complete again.
Most of these task were menial, nothing too straining.. definitely a breeze by themselves. But when you stack thirty odd tasks before him, MePhone4 felt his mind run off. Distractions had always been a big reason as to why he struggled to complete tasks in the past... Thus Cobs kept an.. eye on him.
Probably more for his own sadistic pleasure, then just efficiency. Now that Cobs' most defiant creation finally bent to his will. Cobs was going to savour this moment, absolutely milk it of all it's worth. MePhone4 knew Cobs was enjoying himself too much with this. Especially with how a majority of his tasks included things that actively benefitted Cobs.
For example, make Cobs coffee, sort out files for Cobs, deliver things to Cobs' office... Etc.
It was painfully clear to MePhone4 the type of chains Cobs has clipped onto him. Now he was just waiting for the day Cobs threw him out. MePhone4 knew it would come.. Cobs will eventually grow tired of the robot... And then.. when that day happens.. that'll leave MePhone4 forgotten and uncared for... For good.
But what did he expect? He's MePhone4.. he isn't anyone worth knowing or caring for..
Suppressing a sigh as he was ruthlessly pulled from his thoughts by Cobs. The corn man gestured for him to pick up a cardboard box situated below MePhone4's feet. The box in question was filled with various different tech items, all of them appeared rather old.. so MePhone4 could only assume where these were meant to go...
Either the tip.. or storage...
MePhone4 yanked the box up into his arms, causing the items inside to jostle around. MePhone4 gritted his teeth, feeling the bitter resentment towards Cobs fester in his systems. He hated that he was helping Cobs again.
Cobs had a sly grin on his face, taking in his new obedient servant.. or whatever that corn referred to MePhone4 as.
Cobs turned around, starting to walk forward, he waved his hand, gesturing for the robot to follow. And follow did MePhone4 do...
His feet pushed himself after Cobs, MePhone4 heard the faint whack of metal against smooth tiles... MePhone4 gripped his nails into the cardboard of the box. All of this felt meaningless.. he could be doing better.. greater things. Yet he was stuck here, obeying the wishes of a mad man.
MePhone4 knew that this was his fault. Everything bad that ever happened to him was just karma slapping him back, after all MePhone4 was an arse.
He deserved all this negative karma.. after everything he's done....
But maybe.. he could do one good thing.. help 3GS.. but he hasn't got the chance to go back into the storage closet...
As much as he dreaded that closest and it's pitch black suffocating shadows.. he needed to get back in to turn 3GS on.. and help him.. that's of course if the older robot's damage was even fixable.
