(---)

MePhone4's systems slowly booted up again, his screen displayed the Meeple logo, as the start-up chime rung out across the sterile room. The loading bar appeared below the logo, as he started to reawaken from his sleep mode.

Eventually it all snapped into place, his usual bright blue screen flashed on his display, his face appeared asleep.

After a few short moments, MePhone4 was blinking the tiredness from his digital eyes. He started gazed despondently up at the grey roof that loomed over him. MePhone4's breath hitched, systems whirling to life... this place brought back too much.. why couldn't everything stay in the past?

MePhone4 forced himself up, his metal limbs ached with the force, they weighed him down, as though they didn't want to move. However MePhone4 had to toughen it out, he had to get to Cobs office by 7:00AM otherwise-

....

Why does he care?

Well- he'll get hurt again if he didn't get there in time but-

God he hated Cobs so much..

MePhone4 shoved himself off the bed, it wasn't a very comfortable place to sleep. But since he was just a robot- a machine. Cobs saw no point to give him something nice to sleep on. Thus it was only an elevated metal slab, glistening silver that contrasted with the bright white tiled floors.

He remembered when he was younger, he dreaded sleeping on it. The 'bed' always reminded him of those benches Cobs did the examinations/test on. So after he got a handle over his generation ability. MePhone4 created beautifully rich blue blankets and pillows, just to give life and warmth to the harsh bedding area.

Cobs never made a comment about it, only scribbled something down on his clipboard. So MePhone4 presumed it was fine...

MePhone4 walked out of his old bedroom, passing the common room, blatantly ignoring MePhone4S's old room.

Once exiting the common room, MePhone4's feet/legs fell into auto-pilot as he navigated the Meeple hallways. This route was engrained in his systems, after months of living in this wretched place... even if he wanted it to be a distant memory.. reality really had a way to prove the opposite.

His legs halted, this hallway was always darker and more ominous then the rest. The only light source being the one at the end of the hallway. Illuminating the doorway, with a flickering yellow light. Why did he never get that fixed?

MePhone4 stepped forward to the doorway, the door was the same as any other door in this facility. The same silver sliding door, with that sickening Meeple logo engrained in it's surface.

MePhone4's shoulders were tense, his arms stiffly placed next to his body, tightly pushing in on himself. MePhone4 knew he wasn't late, it was 6:59AM, he knew he had to knock now. But his fist remained clenched and stagnant. What was he even doing with his life?

Biting down the fear that swam in his internals MePhone4 raised an arm, frightfully knocking onto the metal door. His mind whirled with the eerie similarity of it all. The clock struck 7:00AM as the door whizzed open, startling MePhone4 as he wobbled backwards. Eyes widening, before he studied the room.

Honestly after all these years, one would expect a room like this, the main office room, to change. But funnily enough, everything appeared exactly like it did when MePhone4 escaped. MePhone4 gulped down the pit in his throat, as Steve Cobs glanced up from his paper work. The corn hummed with mild disinterest before returning to his more important work. MePhone4 fiddled with his hands, forcing one leg before another. Pushing himself forward so that he stood once again before Steve Cobs' desk.
