This was pure agony for MePhone4. His limbs ached from where the restraints dug deep into his robotic metal shell. Each new attempt to relieve his limbs, ended up working less and less each time. Constantly shifting no longer relieving a smidge of the pain. Resulting in his stiff body to be forced to lay down in utter discomfort, with no hope of relief. The worst part of all of this was, however, his inability to recharge himself. By nature, MePhone4 possessed the ability to charge himself naturally, just by either sleeping or moving around. Unfortunately, this situation prevented both methods of recharging possible. He can't move and (seemingly) an outside force blocks his sleep mode. Cobs must be behind this, MePhone4 just knows it, the cunning bastard knows MePhone4 like the back of his hand. He knows how to get MePhone4 to comply, how to get in MePhone4's head...
That manipulative arsehole....
MePhone4 lets out a groan from the discomfort, gritting his teeth, he eyes the button. Big and red, will save him from all this stress. All he has to do is comply... he has had these thoughts several times the past twenty-four hours. And the offer grew more appealing as the clock ticks.
Each new time, MePhone4 found himself coming up with new reasons to act out on this urge. As though he actually thought this was a good idea. Running back to Cobs would only fuel the corn's massive ego, make him believe he won. That he was MePhone4 on the leash again, but he doesn't.
MePhone4 is his own robot, who can make choices for himself. He doesn't need Cobs to dictate his life, when MePhone4 can do it all better.
But MePhone4 doesn't have to listen past this one instance....
Cobs would be to absorbed in his ego to notice a thing. And if MePhone4 played up the 'defeated' act... It's possible to... Trick the CEO.
All he had to do was this one simple task. He'll get a few rewarded comforts for obeying. Continue to play up the act until he allures Cobs into a false sense of security.. then quickly escape. It's a foolproof plan, definitely! MePhone4 doesn't have any doubts. He lightly touched the button, his fingers only grazing its surface. It's got a bit of a texture to it, bumpy but only slightly, you know?
He circles it with his fingers, considering his options. Building upon and advancing on that 'game plan' he had formulated prior. Deep down inside his systems. MePhone4 sensed that it wouldn't work out, he knows that once he pressed this button, Cobs has won.
He already has won... a voice inside remarks, not gentle, not commanding, just stating a fact.
MePhone4 sighed, he couldn't think straight, he was just coming up with foolish ideals. Tricking himself into falling for another one of Cobs' schemes
Under the false pretense that he could outsmart Cobs. But when has MePhone4 ever bested his creator?
He thought he did when he escaped! But Cobs ended up luring MePhone4 back, with the promise of his own game show. Completely unaware that Cobs was behind it. That Cobs had control, that Cobs was always watching. Once MePhone4 discovered this fact- he left season two.
Opting to start season three, leaving it behind... At least he thought he did. Instead! Cobs sent out a spy, to infiltrate season three, in the form of a Walkie-Talkie. Who betrayed MePhone4's trust, forming a group consisting of Objects that blanatly hated the phone. All set to kill him, which they nearly succed in! If it weren't for Cabby, Silver and Balloon... He doesn't want to think about the possibility.
He totally blanked out, his mind entertaining these dangerous thoughts. All of this a black haze for him, until the sound of a ping! Woke him up from his trance, then he was horrified, his fingers automatically started to press heavier onto the button.
