Never felt like this before - Leah Williamson

Christmas and New Year's Eve pt. 1

Olivia's POV

Tomorrow me and Leah's families would drive down to the the house that we rented a few days ago to spend Christmas and New Year's Eve there. The house was located in a peaceful area, it was outside the city so calmness ruled there. To say that I was excited for this little holiday with my family and the Williamsons it's and understatement, not only because I'll spend time with Leah, but because it reminds of how close we all are. I consider Leah's family as my own, even though they're not by blood, but Amanda has been there for me always and Jacob it's like a brother to Jack. But apart from excitement, I'm nervous. This is the first Christmas and New year's Eve with Leah being more than my best friend, she's my girlfriend, the person that makes me smile with only her presence. Our families both know about our relationship but we haven't really been public around them. I'm sure it will be fine but the nerves are still there at how we will be acting and their reactions. Maybe I'm just thinking into it too much and they won't care at all, but you know, it's the first time as a couple that we do something with our families.

As I was finishing the last details of Leah's gift, a knock on the door made me stop where I was standing. I forgot that Leah was coming here since we told our parents that we would drive together and meet them there, at the house.

"Coming" I shout, trying to hide everything and putting it on any place I could find. As i go open the door Leah is standing there with her suitcase and looked at me suspiciously.

"You okay there?" She says, my breathing starting to settle a little bit as I've just ran trying to hide my gift for Leah.

"Yeah everything's fine, come in" I say moving to the side to let her in. "You can leave the suitcase here, it's okay" I tell Leah and she nods in response. She then turns around and hugs me which I reciprocate putting my arms around her waist holding her tightly.

"You've got a new perfume" I tell her.

"Yeah, do you like it?" She asks me while pulling away slightly, her arms around my neck.

"Mhm, it suits you" I say, she smiles at me and I lean in to kiss her softly. A smile appearing on my face making Leah grin too as we pull away.

"Why are you smiling?" Leah asks

"Because I'm happy, I'm here with you" I tell her

"soppy aren't we Andersson?" Leah teases me.

"only for you" I say and kiss her forehead.
"Do you want something to drink?" I ask her but she shakes her head. "Okay, well I do want some water so you can come with me, make me some company" I say or well more like order her to come with me.

We chat about anything that pass our minds, and that was something that I really appreciate it in our relationship because even though we were a couple I still considered Leah my best friend and I know that I can talk about anything with her. Later on, we ended up talking about our holidays and how we think it's gonna go being all together in the same house, we both agreed that it will be something to remember and a loud house throughout the whole vacation.

"I'm gonna go the bathroom real quick" Leah tells me giving me a quick kiss on the cheek before heading upstairs.

As I hear the door close, I go to the room where I hid her gift, it was finished I just wanted to perfect it, but I put it on a cute bag having a lace on it. As I hear Leah coming down, I put the gift inside my bag and head back to the kitchen where Leah was already.
