Olivia's POV

As soon as I opened my eyes, a ray of sunshine hit me straight to the face causing me to shut them again. Once I adjusted to the light coming from the window,  I looked down to Leah, who was still sleeping peacefully, the light hitting her skin softly and making it look golden, she looked like an angel. Her face was relaxed, her eyebrows not furrowed as usually, and her lips slightly parted.

The sound of a notification making me look away from Leah, I move carefully to see if it was my phone so I grab it and see that my mom has texted me so I decide to reply to her and some other texts as I just forget to reply. In my defence, I just think 'I'll reply later' or maybe I reply mentally but do not proceed to text, but in my mind I've replied.

Anyways, soon enough, I notice Leah move a little and I see her ocean blue eyes slowly open, have I mentioned that I love her eyes? I'm sure I did, but in case I didn't, I love her eyes. As she was waking up, she leaned more into me, grabbing my waist tightly and moving her face more in the crook of my neck. I smile at that and turn my head a little to give her a kiss on her head.

"Good morning Le" I say softly and Leah looks up at me with a small smile. Without saying anything she leans and kisses me, a quick kiss, but it was enough for me.

"Morning Liv" she replies pulling away and cuddling into me.

"What are your plans for today?" I ask her while stroking her back with my fingers.

"Spending the whole day with you"

"Really? You wanna do something then?" I ask but she shakes her head. "You wanna stay in?"

"Yes, if you want to obviously, it's just I feel tired today, I think maybe it's some symptoms because of my period" she says groggily.

"Are you on your period Le?" I ask a little worried, I know about her endometriosis and how bad it can get sometimes. I've seen some bad periods where Leah couldn't even move, and I couldn't really do anything. When that happens I feel so bad and useless. She always told me that being by her side was everything she needed, but you know seeing someone important in my life being in pain and knowing that I can't really do anything to help, it breaks me, I just want to remove all her pain.

"Nono, don't worry, I'm not on my period but I think I'll be soon" she answers me.

"Okay then, shall we just lay here a little bit more and then have breakfast? We'll have a lazy day, how does that sound?" I ask her and she nods in approval.

Me and Leah moved from her bedroom to the living room, just to lay as well but not in bed, instead in the couch. Leah had her head on my shoulder and would give me little kisses now and then, which gave me butterflies every time. I had my arm around her and stroke her back while we were watching some romcoms. We spent the morning just watching films and having little conversations, about anything that would come up to our minds.

As lunch time approached, we decided to cook some rice with a little bit of salad. We divided the work in order to be faster, but Leah, well... she took her time.

"Everything good there Le?" I ask, and turn around to see how many tomatoes Leah had left to cut, didn't surprise me there were still two more to go out of three may I say.

"yeah, I'm doing great, am I not?" she asks

"of course" I say and kiss her cheek before returning to look out for the rice. Couldn't tell her the opposite with that proud face she had. We continued on our tasks in a comfortable silence until Leah broke it.
