Never felt like this before - Leah Williamson

Clarifying

Olivia's POV
Katie and I were going downstairs to have breakfast before training. Leah still hasn't talked to or texted me and I've come to terms that she must be angry with me, because there's no other reason then for her to literally ignore me. Though, what did I do that got her angry at me?

As soon as I entered the canteen I looked around to see if Leah was already here but she wasn't, so I went to sit with Katie again. Her group is nice, they have been very welcoming and have included me in the team. We were talking about how do we think this season will go and how we see our next match against Barcelona, which even though is a friendly, they're the current Champions League Winners and it's a good opportunity against a great opponent to see what we can do as a team. I was now looking at the door to see if Leah would appear and just in that moment I see her going to grab some food with Lia. I was trying to make eye contact with her but she didn't look or tried to find me even once, she's definitely angry at me but for what? I haven't done anything.

I sighed and continued eating my lunch.

"Hey, Olivia" Katies finger snaps in front of my face.

"What?" I say looking up from my plate

"What is happening between you and Leah? You haven't talked since yesterday morning and for what I remember you two were joined at the hip" Katies says. And everyone else in the table agreed with her and looked at me with curiosity.

"I have no idea honestly, last night I texted her asking her if we could hang out as we didn't really talk but she didn't- well she still hasn't replied. She left me on chat." I tell them.

"You think she's mad at you?" Viv asks me

"Yeah, there's no other explanation, but I don't know why." I shrug my shoulders and look at where Leah was sitting, she was laughing at something Beth has said. "I'll ask her later, when we finish training" I say

"Yeah talk to her, maybe is a misunderstanding" Katie reassures me, her hand patting on my shoulder.

"Yeah I hope that's what happened, but even if it was, she should confront the problem with me instead of ignoring me" I say a little annoyed.

"You're right, but you know Leah better than anyone and you know she really doesn't talk about her problems or anything she thinks except with Lia these last year, and not always, she just shuts everyone down" Katie says.

"Tell me about it, she stopped talking to me for a year because she thought I liked her and she was with Jordan at the moment so instead of talking to me she just ghosted me, just like right now". I sighed. "Hopefully we'll talk later and clarify things" I get up and throw the little food that was left , I say bye and that I'll see them at training.

Training was at the same time exciting and exhausting, it was the first one of preseason and it was a light one, we did practice some set pieces and then did and hour and a half of gym. Throughout all of it, Leah has been avoiding me she was with Beth, Lia even with Jordan. Sometimes I tried to lock eyes with her but she didn't look at my way.

Once training was over, we all went to the changing rooms. Most of us just grab our things and went back to our rooms where we could have a shower and prepare ourselves for a chill night. Leah as always was one of the last ones to leave so I took that as an opportunity to talk to her.

"Leah, wait up!" I say, I was outside waiting for her to leave the locker room, but she just walked past me and head to door to go. I followed her and at some point I caught her and I grabbed her arm. "Leah you can't ignore me forever" I tell her.
