Never felt like this before - Leah Williamson

Back again

January 2022

Olivia's POV

I was on my way to Arsenal's training ground since we're back again to continue with the season after the break. It is so cold outside, and as I arrive at London Colney, I spot Katie in shorts and a short- sleeved training shirt.

"Katie, aren't you freezing? We're like at 4º degrees!" I shout at her while walking towards her.

"I know, so what?" She says as if nothing, making me shake my head. "Where's your lover?"

"You did not just call Leah my lover" I say with a light chuckle

"As if it's not true" Katie scoffs

"Well yeah, but it just sounds weird, just say Leah"

"Okay, whatever, where is she? You guys usually come together"

"She's already here I think, the media team requested her presence for some PR videos to promote our next games for the Champions League" I say and Katie nods as we make our way into the changing rooms. As we enter we see that some of the girls are already here, we just greet them and chat for a while before it's time to go out to the pitch.

As training finishes, I caught up with Viv and Beth. They seem to start getting closer, maybe because they both are going through a break up, but never expected them two at all.

As I approached them from behind, I jump and hug both of them.

"Good training both of you!" I say, maybe a little too excited

"Thanks, Liv. You did good too" Viv says

"What's got you so excited" Beth asks me. "You gonna do something with Leah?"

"No, I mean, yes, just the usually, though I think this time she'll come to mine, I really don't know" I shrug my shoulders.

"You should live together already at this point" Beth says in a low voice though I hear it anyways.

"I heard that Beth" I say making her flash a smirk at me. "Maybe I'll ask her soon" I answer " But enough of my relationship, how are you both doing?"

They both look at each other and just answer the sane. "Good"

"Really that's all you have to say?" I ask, not because of gossip but I expected a little bit more.

"What do you want us to say?" Viv asked

"I don't know, something more than just 'good', like how was you break, and how are you doing personally?"

"Break's been good for me, just what I needed" Beth says

"For me too" Viv agrees

"Okay, I won't ask more questions, but I'm happy that you're both doing okay, so seem to have built a friendship here" I say and smirk at them

"I mean, yeah, we're teammates after all, and we're more or less going through the same, so we've been helping each other." Beth says, at this point we were already at the changing rooms.

"That's good, well I'll leave you two now, see you tomorrow" I say.

I go to my cubicle, pick everything up and say bye ti the teammates that still were there.

My plans for today, were nothing special, it was now midday, so for now I'm just gonna have a nice lunch. Then maybe if Leah is done with the photoshoot she has to do for Nike, I'll go to her place and just hangout. However these plans soon change as I see Leah standing in my car.
