I looked at Ted, glaring at him giving him a longing thoughtful look boring my eyes into his.
"What do we do?" Ted whispered and motioned to the front desk lady lying in the bath tub.
"I'll tell them I did it" I whispered back.
Ted looked like his eyes were gonna fall out of his head and he grabbed my arm. "Excuse me? Don't be a martyr"
"I just don't think you deserve it not as much as I do"
The knocks on the hotel door happened again but this time they were louder. We both glanced from the bathroom doorway to each other.
I went to go walk towards the hotel door but Ted slammed me up against the nearest wall catching me off guard. The knocks were more rapid now, more firm.
"Open up, Wisconsin FBI unit!" a man shouted.
My breath hitched and I was panting, glaring down at Ted. We stood there, while the police were banging on our hotel door staring at each other.
"Just let me take the blame, I promise it will all work out"Ted cursed under his breath and I saw as his lip trembled. "Don't worry about me Ted"
"I can't leave you come on we've come this far" Ted argued, in disbelief.
I smiled grabbing the back of his neck bringing him in for a fierce kiss. "I'll see you again"
"If you don't open up we're coming in!" A man shouted from on the other side of the hotel door.
"Go out the back window" I whispered motioning to the window. "Go"
Ted hesitated and I still had my hand around his neck.
He cursed under his breath and leaned forward capturing my lips."I'll come back for you" he whispered against my lips and I nodded letting go of his neck and watched as he fled out the back window.
The FBI came busting through the hotel door and I dropped to my knees holding my hands up.
