I walked in to see Lycan all over Sam, Could this be the person he had mentioned? " Sam..What are you doing here today? We're closed. You know that." I said motioning for Alex to have a seat. Sam smiled and rubbed the back of his neck. "Im with him sir." He said as Lycan wrapped his arm around his waist. Lycan smiled big at me, he seemed really happy with Sam. Good for him. I nodded. " Oh indeed you are. Well lets not stand around like strangers. Lets sit down and get some coffee." Lycan said smiling. Alex smiled at me. I sat down next to him kissing his hand softly, he was shaking, I could tell how nervous he was..
We all sat in silence for a while sipping our coffee, "Im so sorry. I hope you don't hate me anymore. Can I hug you?" Alex said almost crying, he stood up and hugged Lycan. "I dont hate you. Never did. Just protecting my best friend." He said with a smile.  Alex sniffed and let go, finally we were all friends. This was our first start to a new life.

It had been almost five whole months since everything had happened. Matty and I had moved in with Sam and things were good at least I thought. "Matty! Time for bed." I called out to him as he played in the living room. He ran to his room in full speed after brushing his teeth, I laughed, he was the first kid to actually wanna gonna bed. I pulled out his space pajamas and got his water putting on his bedside table. "Alright daddy. I'm officially ready for my space launch." He said smiling, I noticed he had changed clothes all by himself. I smiled and put him in bed, "Well space cadet. What's your first mission tonight?" I asked sitting next to him. He yawned. "The moon Daddy. I'm gonna meet Suzie up there." I raised an eyebrow. " Suzie? Who's that? " I smiled. " She's my new best friend. I met her at school today. She's not icky like the other girls. She likes dinosaurs, trucks, and space just like me!" He said sleepy like. I smiled and kissed his forehead.
"She sounds great buddy." I turned off his lamp and tucked him before I left. "I love you Dad." He whispered lightly as i left. "Love you too Matt." I quickly exited to room as Sam came through the front door, he looked at me then put his bags down. "How was work honey?" I asked softly as I made him a drink. He didn't answer. I handed him the drink and sat next to him. "So Matty met a girl today. I think he likes her." I tried again trying to make conversation. He sipped on it and spit it out. "What the hell is this shit?!" He yelled standing up. "Its lemonade. Matty and I made it...." He threw the glass at me and it hit my hand causing it to break, thankfully I wasn't bleeding just scarred. I swept the glass up trying not to cry. " I'm going out." He said changing. "But..."
He turned around and glared at me, I don't know why but I still spoke anyways. "You promised you would stay tonight. You've been out all this week." I said with a bit of confidence. He turned around punched me.
My eyes widen as I fell, his eyes dropped looking at me realizing what he had done, my jaw was stinging and blood formed in my mouth. "Oh god....Lycan...Baby I'm sorry...I didn't mean to take it out on you." He said trying to help me. I pulled away crying almost. "Just go."
I sighed feeling tired from the day, work was killing me dont get me wrong I loved my job but the hours were taking away from my family. I went to the bathroom  and took a shower, just to clear my mind a little. My phone buzzed twice. It was a message from Sam and the other from Briar. I hopped out trying to clean my face up as I  wrapped a towel around me and attempted to dry my hair. I successfully completed my struggle with my hair. I got dressed and laid in bed, reading the messages.

Sam: I'm sorry baby.. please answer.

I sighed and didn't answer, it had become a regular routine for him to be late and out with his friends. Also on a regular basis he had some how managed to hurt me. Today it was hitting me. I read the next one.

Briar: Hey its been awhile. Mind if I come over? I kinda need a friend tonight.

I frowned. I wondered what had happened with Alex and him.
