I called Oliver to see if he wanted to go to the game but he's at the hospital visiting his grandma. Then I callex Camilla, whom I met at a party and we instantly hit it off. We've gotten quite close in the past few months. And I'm hoping she'll accompany me to the game tonight. And hopefully won't judge me for wearing the opposing teams jersey.

"Hey, girl, what's up," Camilla's voices floated through the speaker.

"Hi. Um- I was just wondering if you wanted to go to the game tonight."

"Hell yeah, I do. But I think we're gonna lose though. I mean the UCLA team is crushin' it this season. And this games is like a cake walk for them." So even Camilla knows that our team is hopeless. "And have you seen those UCLA players. They're a total smokeshow. We have to go see those hot dude, you hear me?"

I giggled. "Um- yeah, so uh you wouldn't judge if I wore my brother's jersey then, right?"

"You're brother's on our team? You never told me."

I bite my lips. "No, not our team. He's the running back for UCLA."

"Holy guacamole, girl! You never told me you have a hot brother."

I grimace in disgust. "Because I don't. My brother is a disgusting pig."

"Hush girl, I'll be the judge of that. But yeah sure you can wear your brothers jersey. It's not like we're gonna win anyways."

I smile. "Alright, I'll meet you there okay?"

"Okay."

"Lily, over here." I see Camilla waving her arms up in the air like crazy and attracting attention from not only me but from other people too.

Camilla is a tall, dark haired, olive skinned Latina. And her fiery temper and loud attitude makes it difficult to miss her in any crowd. I hurry to her and grab her hand so that I get squashed in this crowd. "Hey, girl!"

"Hi, Camy." I feel her hold on me tighten as she helps me navigate the crowd. "My brother said he'd reserve some seats for us at the front."

"Over there?" She asks pointing over to an area. "Come on, let's go."

We manage to find out seats and sit down with the snacks. "I'm so excited. I love football," Camilla says with a huge grin, showing off her pearly white teeth.

"I've never been to football game before," I confess quietly, making Camilla gasp. "Never," she asks and I shake my head in response.

"Didn't your brother play in highschool?"

I nod. "Yeah, but I don't understand football, or any other game. So I never went."

She nods in understanding. "Oh that's alright. I'll teach you, it's simple."

Soon the game starts. Camilla, bless her sweet heart, explains different concepts of the game to me. She even cheers every time the CALTECH Beavers score and I copy her, earning some judgemental looks from the people around us. But Camilla doesn't care and she keeps telling me to not care as well. I wish I had her confidence.

Soon the game is over, and just as my brother predicted, they won. I drag Camilla with me to the benches where all the players are celebrating. Aiden and Rex made me promise to congratulate them on their win instantly. However, when I get closer I notice the huge crowd around them. There's not way I'm going in there. But thankfully Rex noticed me and pulled Aiden away from the cheerleader hanging off his arms and they both came towards us.

"Hey, baby, you came," Aiden cheers, throwing his entire sweaty body on me.

"Ew," I scrunch my nose, trying to block out his horrible smell. "You smell bad." I think I said that a little too loud because his teammates laughed. "And um- congratulations."

"Thanks," he messed up my hair- "I told you we're gonna win."

"Yeah, well," I shrugged, it's not like I have a response to that. But I caught Rex looking at me, so I smiled shyly. "Congratulations, that was a great pass you did."

Rex smiled back at me, which made his teammates make way tok much noise.

"And uh- this is my friend Camilla," I introduce Camilla to Aiden.

"Hey," Aiden just tips his jaw back with a smile and forwards his hand for a handshake.

Camilla takes his outstretched hand and gives a polite hello in response.

And then Aiden says the most absurd thing of all times. "Come on, let me introduce you to the team." He then drags me around, making sure to include Camilla as well, and introduces us to several other boys who smell equally bad. But those boys seem to care more about their stink because none of them dare to get any closer. Except Rex, of course, because he's standing right next to me, making sure I get every whiff of his sweaty smell. Why do boys smell so bad?

The boys invite us to join them for the celebratory party but Aiden puts his foot down, making me sigh in relief. After politely refusing them, Camilla and I head home because we have assignments to submit tomorrow.
