I usually have trouble waking up in the morning. Every morning. Which is why I was pretty surprised when today I woke up without so much as a groan. But I wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth.

I padded into the kitchen in my pajamas. Aiden's old t-shirt and a pair of cotton shorts. And my feet nestled into my fuzzy slippers. I open the fridge, grabbing the milk. I pour it in a bowl, and then start looking for cereal. I find the weird cereal that Rex bought, which I liked, but I of course didn't tell him. I've been eating it in secret. I pour the cereal in the bowl of milk and start gulping it down.

After I'm done with breakfast I bring in my laptop and notes. Time to study.

I get consumed in my assignment on Principle of physical reality of imaginary numbers. I was halfway through my assignment when Aiden stumbles into the kitchen.

"Morning, Aiden," I greet him happily.

"Shut up," he grunts making himself a cup of coffee. He's addicted to that liquid.

After downing two cups of coffee Aiden is woke enough to have a conversation. "What do we have here," he peers into my laptop from over my shoulder. "Yeah I did that assignment too."

I just hum in response.

He sits down next to me, munching on am apple. "How would you like to earn some money?"

I glance at him before turning my attention back to the screen. "How?"

"I have a two assignments due tomorrow that I definitely didn't finish. I actually didn't even start. Wanna do those for me? I'll give you fifty dollars."

"No."

"Come on, you didn't even consider it!"

I didn't dignify him with a response.

"Fine a hundred dollars."

"Instead of wasting your time trying to bribe me you could get started on those assignments."

He groans, face-planting on the kitchen counter. "I don't wanna."

I continue to ignore him and after a while he gives up and goes back inside him room. But another few moments later he's back with his laptop, with Rex on toe.

Aiden takes his place next to me, opening his laptop, working on his assignment, I hope, while Rex makes himself a cup of coffee. "What are you two doing?"

"Assignments," Aiden grunts.

Rex just nods and sits in front of us, sipping his cup of coffee. "You have to do homework even during football season?"

Aiden makes another dramatic noise. "No, the professors do excuse my tardiness but they cut off my marks! And if I'm going to be valedictorian then I can't afford to lose a single grade."

Rex whistles in response. "And you Lily? You're only a freshman. Why do you have so much work?"

I snap my eyes to hum, already feeling agitated due to thier unnecessary noise and now they have the audacity to include me? "Do you know what my major is," I snap at him. "Astrophysics. Do you have any idea how hard it is? Shut up!"

Rex just put his hand up in a surrendering motion. "Chill out, dude. I was just saying." He then goes back to his coffee.

Aiden and I spent the whole day finishing our assignments while Rex watched tv. Does he not have any work?

Later that evening, I was studying for the my test tomorrow when when I see Aiden and Rex all dressed up. And by that I mean, they're wearing some jeans and shirts instead of their usual bare chests and basketball shorts that they wear at home.

"Hey, Lily, we're going to a party," Aiden says smacking me on the back of my head.

"Hey." I pinch his arm in return and he winced. Good.

"You wanna come with us," Rex asks tilting his head slightly.

I give him a horrified look in return. How dare he assume I'd go to a party instead of studying. "No I have a test tomorrow."

"Yeah, man don't invite her. If she comes along then I'll be stuck babysitting her," Aiden scoffs.

I roll my eyes at him. "Whatever, just go. Oh wait, you both have your keys right?"

"Yep, keys, condoms, we got everything, baby," Aiden pats his pocket with a smirk earning a disgusted look from me. Men.
