Time's Up

You and Tom quickly run up to the pregnant woman who's lying on the altar and Tom inspects her body to diagnose the state of her health.

" She's still alive. "

Tom says as he breaks her bonds loose to set her free. The woman stays completely still, staring mindlessly at the ceiling; so Tom holds her face and looks into her eyes as he tries to get through to her.

" Look at me, okay? Look at me. Can you hear me? "

The woman's eyes begin to faintly flutter as Tom speaks to her and you ask him a question.

" Can you read her mind? "

" Already did. Her stomach is in excruciating pain from what they did to her and it's so intense that she can't perceive her surroundings. "

Tom says as he looks down at her stomach with his Trap Sight.

" Her stomach is swollen but I don't see anything inside of it... "

You think back to the dream you had of this place and you bring up what you remember from it to Tom.

" I dreamed of this place, remember? Back when Uphedis spoke to me... There's gotta be something sharp stabbing her from inside. "

" Look for yourself, Donny. There's nothing- "

Tom cuts himself off abruptly and looks at you with a grim look in his eyes. The woman suddenly lets out an ear piercing scream that immediately recaptures your attention as her body begins to writhe around uncontrollably. You and Tom slowly back away from the altar and you look at the ground to notice that the blood around the altar from the intestines of the surrounding corpses is bubbling. You watch as the bodies of the dead robed men slowly melt into the ground from laying in their own boiling blood and you can see that each of them were missing their eyes as the woman continues to wildly scream and twitch uncontrollably on top of the altar.

" Looks like our time's up, Donny... "

Tom says before you see what looks like an adult's sharp bloody fingers emerge outwards from within the woman's stomach, piercing and ripping her pregnant belly open from the inside. The woman continues to scream while banging the back of her head on the altar and she shakes violently as you watch her blood pouring out of the tear in her stomach, merging with the boiling blood on the floor. Once her stomach is fully ripped open from her waist to her ribcage, the hands submerge back inside the bloody rip in her stomach and you're greeted by a hauntingly familiar set of horns and feminine eyes that peek up at you from the pool of blood that's pouring out of the gaping hole in the pregnant woman's body.

Tom steps in front of you defensively as the womanly Valghuli Exemplar that once tried to kill you in Somniohm fully rises out of the pregnant woman's bloody corpse with a sinister smile.

" Lamenter... "

Valanyah says as she steps down from the altar, causing the pregnant woman's corpse to fall over, splatting onto ground before she slowly walks towards you covered in the woman's blood.

" You didn't think that portals were the only way to access this realm, did you? "

Tom wastes no time, blitzing the demon and throwing several serious strikes at her that explode violently but she dodges and blocks them before throwing a few strikes of her own. Tom and Valanyah go back and forth fighting each other in what looks like an even exchange of offense and defense as if they're dancing faster than the eye can see.

" DONNY, RUN!! TAKE MIMI BACK TO MORIARCH!! "

Tom shouts to you telepathically in an urgent tone while he continues to keep the Valghuli Exemplar occupied. Valanyah then catches Tom with a spinning kick to the side of the head, stunning him before she quickly grabs him by the throat and lifts him in the air, holding him outwards off the ground while she chokes him with an entertained smile.
