ring ring

I groan as I rolled out of the bed I was laying in. I checked to see what the ringing was. It was my alarm for nine am.  Oh right, I have a date today. I walk over to my five pair of suitcases. Today was our last day in San Fran so we didn't have a show tonight. We had a day off. I look in my first suitcase and pull out my favorite black skirt and a nice orange corset to go with it. I decided to go get coffee before the date so I wouldn't be grumpy or tired. I was walking out to the cafe when I saw a man coming down the side walk very fast. As he was walking he pushed past many people in  a hurry . As I stepped out onto the sidewalk he brushed past me as he knocked me down to the ground. 

"Geez, I hope he had something productive he needed to do." I muttered under my breathe.

After I got to the cafe I ordered a peppermint mocha and sat down until I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked over and I saw Alena, while Kevin and Dani in the distance at their own table. I pulled my earbud out and greeted her.

"Hey Alena, whatcha doing here?"

"I was having juice with mommy and daddy. We were going to the park but I got thirsty." she said as she climbed into my lap. I hugged her as I told her, 

"Well, aren't you special. Where's your other half. Valentina should be running around here somewhere right?"

"Nah, shes with Uncle Nick. She didn't want to go to the park. And she couldn't go with Uncle Joe because dad said he has a date later today with a very special girl."

"Oh? a very special girl? Do you know who this girl is?"

"No, dad wont tell me. says I'm too young to under stand this kind of stuff."

"Oh well, how about you go tell your dad I want to talk to him for a second and I'll see if I can take you to the park for a bit. Only for about an hour I can because I also have a very important date tonight."

"WAIT ARE YOU AND UNCLE JOE-" I cover her mouth.

"Shh, just go get your dad for me or no park." she scurries off retrieving her dad for me. I glance at my phone to see that Joe sent me a text to confirm I'm still on for tonight. I sent him back a yes in a flirty way to make him flustered, or at least I hoped it did. I noticed someone sit down in front of me. I see a wide grinned Kevin in front of me. 

"hey, what are you doing here?"

"oh, you know getting coffee before my date today at noon."

"Oh, really its weird Joe also has a date at noon too."

"Wow what a coincidence. do you know with who?"

"No, I was wondering if you knew." he said sarcastically. 

"Haha, very funny. Yes its me ok? I said it."

"congrats for saying your feelings for each other. but really you guys are great together its about time. Sorry if Alena bothered you."

" OF COURSE NOT!!! I was wondering if I could take her to the park for an hour. I wanna bond with her more. She's so sweet and has a great heart."

"oh sure. we can meet up again so then you can give her back and go back for your dateee." he said teasingly.

"Oh SHOVE it! and ok I'll bring her back here in an hour."

"No tell Joe that, but yes here in an hour." he said as he walked away leaving me flabbergasted. Alena came over bouncing ready to go. Dani came over once to double check with me and we headed off. Half way to the park I told Alena I didn't want to go to the park anymore but wanted to go to an arcade. So we went to an arcade. We spent the whole hour there trying to get enough tickets to get the gigantic bear so I could annoy Kevin with it when I give it to Alena, payback for the teasing.  We arrive back at the cafe to find Kevin sitting there with Valentina.

"Hey Tini, Look what I got with Aunt Barron." exclaimed Alena

"WHAT NO WAY! ITS SO HUGE!" she said

Kevin looked at me with an amused look. I smiled wickedly at him knowing he was not happy about this.

"why does my daughter have a big Bear?" he questioned.

"Uh because why not. And plus it pay back. And I gotta go. It was fun with Alena. She was an angel and I love hanging out with her." I said as I hugged Kev and the girls.

"Yeah, yeah. Have fun today but not to much fun we do have to travel tomorrow for tomorrows concert."

"Yes dad, I'll be home by 12. are you going to stay up to make sure we make it home?"

"You know I might. I'm kidding but really have fun." he said in a serious tone. I nodded and walked off to get back to my hotel room to freshen up. I arrive back to my hotel room. When I walked in Joe called me.

"Hey, I'll be there in like five. I know you just got back and you need to freshen up."

"yeah, thanks. Ill see you soon." I said as I hung up and proceeded to get ready. I heard a knock at the door. and I open it to find Joe standing there in a white button down shirt with black dress pants. I was wearing a tight black skimpy dress.  I looked at him as he stood there at the door admiring me as he said,

"Here these flowers are for you." he said as he handed me flowers, "Wow you are gorgeous" I chuckled and I gave him a hug as I stood on my tippy toes. I felt happy.
