These are the military factions that I'll be using for any stories that I try to make. They are the good guys who fight to protect all innocents and to preserve life from all forces of evil.

2581 AD:ERA OF REBUILDING
-The result of the war caused the UNSA to lose half of its entire population. The aftermath is that only 125 billion human lives remained. In response, massive reconstruction efforts were being made in an effort to get things back to the pre-war era. However, that's easier said than done as despite their best efforts, the Terran-Martian War was far more devastating than humanity realized.
-Due to massive anti-Martian sentiments due to the most recent war, the planet Mars in the Sol System has been renamed Minerva, in honor of the Roman goddess of wisdom, justice, law, victory, and the sponsor of arts, trade, and strategy.
2582-2650 AD: EMERGENCY MILITARY GOVERNMENT
-With the future of humanity in question, the UNSA was forced to transform itself into an emergency military government in order to ensure the survival of the human race and lead it towards reconstruction. SATO military forces took control of the reconstruction efforts while also enforcing law and order on the colonies. Delta Squad and the Red Wolves also took part, rooting out any rebel cells and acting as security while reconstruction is underway.
-As the last organizations still capable of operating effectively and with the survival of humanity in question, the measures taken were severe; strict rationing, a mandatory one child policy, and widespread martial law across all human colonies. Every available resource was put toward reconstruction and opportunities only afforded to those whose knowledge or expertise could directly benefit this great effort. Its initial duties included preventing the collapse of human society, restoring agriculture and manufacturing industries, and putting to work hundreds of billions of unemployed citizens.
-It would take decades up until the mid 27th century where after a long period of intense rationing and brutal conditions worldwide, the Provisional Government had managed to reverse the worst of the damage caused by the Terran-Martian War. Despite the efforts to rebuild the colonies, hundreds of millions more would suffer and die in vast relief camps where the barest necessities were exchanged for grueling physical labor. The price was immense, and even those in the highest echelons of the provisional government were horrified by the actions taken to preserve civilization. The post-war provisional government found difficulty in shifting to a civilian economy as the only remaining infrastructure existed entirely to fight back the Martians.
2651 AD:BIRTH OF THE TERRAN UNION
-With the restoration of communications across the colonies, recolonization beginning anew, and the ability for more complex governmental structures being rebuilt, a nation wide referendum was held to decide the future of the military government. Still traumatized and hardened by the previous war, in an unexpected landslide, the Emergency Military Government was legitimized.
-This action would soon lead to the birth of a new nation named the Terran Union.
