Edores' Pov
I feel the wetness turn dry; my eyes are still shut. This weird energy surrounds me and my hand that's still on Grandma's stomach. What is this?
I hear a low whimper and my eyes snap open. The weird energy-magic thing disappears, and all the blood is gone. Her shirt is dry and, she's wide awake. The previous weakness is gone. But now I feel weak. What?
"I guess you found another one of your powers." Grandma chuckles weakly. She starts to stand up and Edwin and I help her up.
"What just happened?" Edwin asks.
I just shrug confused myself."
"What happened Edwin, is that Edores has healing abilities too. She saved me." Grandma pulls me into a tight hug, and I wince.
"Shoot, with some repercussions as well. It's probably just weakness since it was your first time using this power. Are you alright?" She asks.
"I should be asking you that." I chuckle then sober up, "What happened? Who stabbed you? Was it a guard of the Dark Wizard kingdom? Why can't we trust anyone?" I keep throwing questions when Edwin lightly squeezes my hand, gesturing me to slow down.
"How about be bring Grandma home safe for her to recover before asking so many questions."
"No! Edores is right you both need to know what's going on asap. And I can never go back to the kingdom. Until the threat is over." She sighs sitting back down. Edwin and I exchange uncertain looks and sit down in front of her. I spawn a ball of fire and make it float above us for some light.
"The guard that stabbed me was Melissa's brother."
"WHAT?!" Edwin exclaims. "Uncle Monen tried to kill you?"
"I was unsure if Melissa knew about it or not. It's hard to tell after my visions and memories of the prophecy." She shrugs.
"Then can you tell us everything now?" I ask.
"They're coming. They're coming for you, for us, for both Dark and Elemental Wizards. And you, Edores, are the main target. Because you're half elemental, and because you are meant to rule the Dark Wizard kingdom with Edwin. They believe in the prophecy and are trying everything in their power to prevent two species outpowering the rest. They believe that their species will go extinct due to both of ours, and they don't want a Demi-God in this world. They're greedy bastards and they're the ones that killed all of the Gods and Eden. And a bunch of other species kinds."
"Who are they?" Edwin asks in fear.
"The Council of Power. Humans, Witches and Vampires are on this council. And some Dark Wizards. And I'm afraid to admit your uncle is on it too. Maybe even our immediate family, your parents. I don't know about that part. They have spies in the form of our guards spread all over the kingdom."
"How did the humans find out about Supernaturals?" I ask.
"The Witches. They formed an alliance with the humans. There's only a small number of humans on the council though."
"If our family is on the council, or part of it, who are they really after?" Edwin asks.
"Both of you and the rest of your species', Angels and of course, the only Demi-God."
"How did they found out I exist? That Gods existed and now a Demi-God does?" I wonder.
"That's why I think that the King and Queen are not trustworthy. Or that Leon may have mentioned it to someone other than the five of us. I don't know, that's where it becomes confusing."
"So what do you suggest we do?" Edwin gets to the point.
"Strengthen your powers and fighting skills. Edores you need to figure out all of your God-side powers. Alliances are also important, but right now just stick to the two of you and Bursen, we can't take any more risks. The trusted circle isn't trusted anymore so just keep your mouths shut. And don't show that you suspect anyone, even your parents. Nothing is for sure yet. All that is, is that there is a war brewing and we all must be alert at all times and ready to fight. I will continue hiding in this cave, I can't risk any Vampires reading my thoughts and can't risk getting questioned and tortured. Bursen will help start your training and for your powers you can always come to me here and get assistance if needed. Right now, I am tired, so if you'll excuse me, I'd like to take a nap. Come back tomorrow to let me know what your game plan is. And stay safe." Grandma yawns.
"Thank you for all this information and helping us. Sleep well, see you tomorrow." I give her a big hug and Edwin follows. I extinguish the flame and darkness confines us.
We wave and exit the cave cautiously.
"We can't go into hiding either, that would be suspicious. We need to act normal."
"I'm a great actor." I point out and we both chuckle lightly.
"God this is just, crazy"
"Madness." We both say at the same time.
"I can't believe you have healing powers, it's perfect for all the future bloodshed we'll have to deal with."
"Please don't say that." I sigh.
"You know I'm right." Edwin sighs back and I nod.
"So, what do we do first?" I ask.
"Let's get back to our quarters and talk to Bursen. I'm glad we at least have one person we can trust besides the three of us."
"You said 'our quarters'..." I trail off.
"I mean yeah, you called my palace home, so that means my quarters is our quarters." Edwin grins.
I grin back, "Okay let's go back." I summon my teleportation waterfall and next thing I know we're in 'our' quarters with Bursen pacing nervously in the room. He turns to us in relief and pulls both of us into a big hug.
