Edwin's Pov
"Edores!" I shout as I hear a crash, the line goes dead. "Fuck!"
"What happened?" Orja gives me a worried look.
"We have to find Edores now. Something happened to her. She-" I start breathing heavily. I can't lose her again, hell I can't even ALMOST lose her again. I have no clue where she went, she ran for one minute and you can't see her for miles. None of our heightened senses can see where she is.
"Let's split up and search. We'll find her, Edwin don't worry, she'll be fine." Orja shakes my shoulders.
"Fine, let's go now." I start running in the direction I think she went, while Leon and Orja go different ways.
I run for so long my legs collapse underneath me. Fuck why now? Why do I have to be weak now? Is it because I lost her? Is she the only thing that gives me strength now? Is she gone? Is she dea-no. No, I refuse to believe it. We're supposed to get married, it can't end like this. She's the Queen of All Supernaturals. She can't die, at least not like this, not on a mission for a fucked up prophecy for Dark Wizards.
I get up and keep running. Finally after what feels like hours of huffing and puffing I hear metal clanking together. There wasn't a building in sight though, not a person in sight, there was nothing except red sand and a discolored horizon. I frown and walk in the direction of the sound.
My burner phone rings, I quickly pick up while still walking in the growing direction of the clanging noise.
"What is it Orja, did you find her?" I ask.
"No. Where are you?"
"This weird area, I'm following some metal clanking sound because there isn't anyone or anything out here and I'm starting to think this is where Edores was when I called her. The dark magic scent is strong here. I wonder if there's more than one Dark Wizard in the area."
"Okay I found Leon, we'll try to find you okay?"
"No, keep searching for her. Whoever finds her calls the other, then we locate each other."
"Fine. Good luck." He sighs.
"You too." I hang up.
I pause when the sound stops. I sniff around and notice black smoke coming from a crack in the ground a few feet away. I use my sword to cut a hole around it. The ground shakes then falls down, the black smoke increases. I look down, watching it fall, it never makes a sound. That's bizarre. I shine a flashlight through the smoke and hear a scream. Edores? I jump down the hole bracing myself for impact. My feet touch a soft surface, it's a tube. I fell through a tube? The light from above ground shows me the glass door around the tube. I open and step through.
I turn my flashlight on its brightest setting and look around the cages and black metal bars. The weapons indicate that its a torture chamber. The kind that we have back at my palace.
I hear another scream and head in the direction of that. Red splattered the floor, blood. I walk cautiously around it.
"Tell me who killed her!" A gruff yell.
"I don't know!" A female groans, a familiar voice, EDORES! Thank god she's not dead.
I rush closer to the voices, She's strapped to a torture chair, cuts and bruises all over her face and neck. A bloody line etched on her right arm. I clench my fists staring at the man holding her hostage. I need to see his face.
"Yes you know, you're her sister!"
Sister? She has a sister?
"I don't have a sister!" She yells answering my internal question.
