Edwin's Pov
"Come on please!" Talia begs again.
"There's no way she's leaving the palace just with you. You don't even know your way around here, you've only been here for a week." I argue again.
"If you people want to get married in the next month she needs to go bridal shopping sooner than later. Oh and event location hunting, and taste testing! You both are royalty, you need to go all out for this!" She argues back.
"We need to finish building this castle first before we even think of doing that! So, if we need to delay the wedding, that's more than fine. Edores and I both have our priorities set straight on kingdom renovation and damage control first. Then the wedding. We already live together anyway, we're practically married." I joke.
"Come on, one day of fun? I'm begging you for a change." Talia laughs.
I shake my head, "Edores can still barely walk Talia. She still has to use crutches."
"Hello? Teleportation."
"Still unsafe. Being in a vulnerable position around Dark Wizards, alone for that matter. You are human, so it's even worse for you. Dark Wizards can tell species apart by their scent alone. Now, why don't you go bug Alice and Mack who are helping Edores with designs?"
"Ugh fine. You're still the same old cold annoying bastard." She mumbles under her breath and I stifle a laugh and eye roll as she exits my newly built office.
We decided on building the palace in multiple sections. Especially since we plan on having our friends stay with us, or if they ever want to visit. So we designed sections based on their preferences. It was more like a multi-species castle, which makes the Queen of All Supernaturals palace look better and make sense.
Edores and I's wing was already built, our quarters, royal office (for each of us), and a dining room. Each wing or section would have an office for each person for whatever they wanted to use it for, or their own jobs. And each section would have a dining room if wanted privacy. We designed a few different kitchens for use if we wanted to cook ourselves. Edores wanted this to be on the more independence homey side than palace pish posh side. Her words, not mine. I reminded her that we still have that cottage to grow old in, she said she wanted her palace to reflect her independence so I agreed. Which means no servants. At all. But since she is a Queen, guards are definitely needed, but around the palace. Not inside unless necessary. I'll respect her wishes.
"The materials for your throne room have arrived, shall we get started on building?" Leon asks from the doorway of the room.
"Yes. How's Edores?" I walk over to him.
"She's keeping herself busy. She wants to create an archery field on your side of the palace, it's not up for discussion I'm afraid. Mack's helping her design it." He chuckles.
"That's great, looking forward to seeing those designs." I smile as we walk over to the section we dedicated the throne room to be in. We enter watching Niko and Orja hulling a massive black chair around the room.
"Hey where do you want us to put this?" Niko asks with a pant. The chair does look heavy.
"Just set it to the side for now. Once we build the floor board we'll figure it out."
We work in silence for a while until Niko lets out a big breath.
"Edwin I got a mind-link. From a royal guard, a friend of mine. The people rumored to have killed all of the Gods, was the council. It's been confirmed., he was spying on them for years. And by the sound of it they aren't all dead. There's a few members left. And they reside in a human town. And I have a feeling that killing them and restoring balance of the Supernatural world is the rest of the prophecy. We'll have to confirm that first, but I'm sure once this is all done, we'll know for sure that it's all over."
Shit so Edores and I were right, the prophecy was about the God killers. "A human town?" I raise a brow.
"A human town." He nods.
"But how would magic people even live in a human town without exposing themselves?" Orja asks.
"Edores was born and brought up in a human city, it's the opposite, humans can't live in magic countries." I replied.
"So does your friend know who those last few members are?" Leon asks Niko.
"Nope. But he does know that after most of the council members got killed, they went into hiding in the country Yolidan."
Wait, isn't that Edores' home country?
"That's Edores' home country right Edwin? That's so bizarre." Leon says, confirming my thoughts.
"That is bizarre. But that means Edores knows the area, so some of you should go with her and hopefully find the last Council of Power members." Niko sighs.
"She's injured!" Orja and I call out at the same time, then raise a brow at each other.
"You both can take care of her." Niko rolls his eyes.
"So who's going?" Leon asks.
"Well who wants to stay and help build the palace?" Orja asks.
"I'll stay, the three of you should go with her." Niko answers.
"We can take Talia too since she lives there." I add.
"Sounds great. So you five will go and Mack, Alice and I will stay here and continue working on the castle." Niko smiles.
"Okay. Alright I will go inform Edores and Talia." I smile back. Five of us should be able to find the last few members right? In a whole country? Yolidan is very big though, but Edores and Talia will be our tour guides, and with our heightened senses it should be fine.
"Leon remember to mind-link me daily. And if help is needed I'll be there quickly." I hear Niko say as I walk out of the room.
I find Edores with her friends in the common room designing.
"Hey Edwin." She smiles at me and makes room on the couch for me to sit.
"How's designing going?" I ask, kissing her forehead.
"It's going good." Edores smiles. "What's up?"
"We have to go to Yolidan." I breathe out.
"Why?" Talia raises a brow across the table.
"Well, Niko has figured out the rest of the prophecy due to the help of a friend of his, a spy."
"So the prophecy isn't over?" Mack frowns.
"Afraid not." I sigh.
"What's the rest of it?" Edores asks.
"There's only a few Council of Power members left, and they're hiding out in a human town in your home country. The rest of the prophecy we believe is killing them and restoring the magic balance amongst all species. Which does sound like a task for the Queen of All Supernaturals, where you come into the prophecy."
"That makes sense." Alice nods.
"Great so it's not over yet." Edores groans.
"Niko suggested that Orja, Leon, Talia, you and I go look for them and take care if it. While Niko, Mack and Alice continue the whole building and designing thing. How does that sound?" I look around the group.
"Sounds good." Alice says and Mack nods with Talia.
"This is crazy, but at least all of it will be over soon." Edores nods.
