"Just ignore and don't pay any attention to him." Maria says, parking the car at the basketball court.

We both get out and I straighten my black leather jacket, which is pretty oversized. The chilly air hits my hair and I run my fingers through them.

I look around and my eyes finds him. He's standing with his friends in the middle of the court, talking while holding the basketball.
He looks at me and stops talking.
I look away. I will ignore him, I remind myself.

I walk towards the bleachers, which is mostly empty. Sadie is sitting with her friends. I still can't believe how she lied yesterday, if she ever informs me anything, I'll first confirm it.

Madison is sitting besides her boyfriend, Connor.
Maria and I sit down. Connor stands up and walks towards the boys. The game starts and I look at Maria. "I don't wanna look at him, let's chat."

"Sure." She says and we begin talking about things that doesn't involve him.

I'm pretty distracted but then Madison cheers. I look at them and all the boys are laughing, they probably made a score.

My eyes lands on him, he is grinning and saying something to one of his friends. My heart begins racing at the sight of that tiny dimple on the corner of his lips.

Look away. Look away.

I look away and roll my eyes.
He's so full of himself, don't look at him.

It's so frustrating, how much effect he has on me.
No matter what, I'm so attracted to him like a stupid magnet. I need to control myself. I won't look at him again.

I start talking to Maria again. From time to time she cheers for her boyfriend, Jeremy.

We keep talking and I hear a thud. I turn my head to look and Devin is on the ground, looking at his ankle.
My heart skips a beat. Is he hurt?
I almost stand up and run to him.

He stands up again and dust off the dirt from his clothes. He looks up and his eyes meets mine. For a second, we hold each other's gaze, which makes my heart go crazy. Then I look away.
I don't care. I don't care if he's hurt.

I start talking to Maria again and I can't help but look at him again and again. She says something and I glance at him. He's playing perfectly fine, as if he didn't fall at all.

I can't stop looking at him.
The way he's so concentrated in his game. The way he holds the ball, the way he runs his fingers through his hair.

I want those fingers to touch me everywhere.
I feel my body reacting, my heart races and the whole world disappears.

"You sure you're not here to check him out?" Maria says and I snap out of my wild thoughts.

"What?" I look at her.

"Oh my God" she says. "Girl, you're blushing."
I get even more flustered and roll my eyes to cover up my embarrassment.

"What were you thinking about? What kind of thoughts were you having about him that got you looking like a freaking tomato?" She grins.

I glare at her. "You're talking nonsense. It's just a little hot in here."

"Yes, of course." She smiles. "You were definitely not gawking at him thinking something wild. I bet you're so wet right now."

I gasp and lightly slap her arm. "Shut up."

"You are, aren't you?" She laughs.

"Maria, stop it." I say, trying to control my laughter and blush.

We both start laughing, I glance at him and my heart almost jumps out.
He's looking at me and he immediately looks away. He was looking at me.

He's probably mad that I'm here at his game but I came for my friend not for him.
As if I have thought about anything else other than him.
